Resident Evil 2 Remake

New footage of the Resident Evil 2 Remake from Gamescom shows off how Clair and Sherry have changed since the original Resident Evil 2

We have been waiting like good little gamers out there and now we have some more to look at for the Resident Evil 2 Remake after the splash it made at E3. Fresh out of Gamescom we have some new footage for the game to take in as well as a look at how Capcom has updated Claire and Sherry for the game. You know, the other protagonist we will get to play from Resident Evil 2 as well as her little “ward” she is trying to protect along the way. If you do not remember them from the original game, then lucky you as you are about to be reminded. If the reason is that your first outing on this part of the franchise will not be until January 25th when it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, then get ready to meet your every growing cast of characters.

In this new footage for the Resident Evil 2 Remake, we get to see the two meet up for the first time and go through a little bit. That is before the monstrous ‘G’ shows up to wreck her and show what the nightmare is truly all about here. Fans of the franchise will see a few other little things mixed in, but that would be the highlight that we have here out of Gamescom for the game. I know I will not scoff at anything new we get to see for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Although it would be awesome to see them build a VR option into some of this to make for some truly intense fights for the game. Could you only imagine how that would all play out in the following footage?

Resident Evil 2 Remake — Claire Redfield Enters The Nightmare

The genre-defining masterpiece Resident Evil 2 returns, completely rebuilt from the ground up with breath-taking visuals, modernized controls and a deeper narrative experience. Showcased at Gamescom for the first time today, players join college student Claire Redfield as she searches for her missing brother, Chris. As she arrives in Raccoon City, she’s thrown into the middle of a zombie outbreak taking over the city. Dodging dangers left and right, Claire runs to safety in the Raccoon City Police Station. As she tries to find a way out of this nightmare, Claire finds Sherry Birkin, a young girl abandoned in the underground area beneath the police station. Together they face the iconic series boss and mutating enemy ‘G’. Will Claire and Sherry make it out the Police Station alive or will they run into further dangers? She’ll have to battle for their lives as she takes on this living and breathing nightmare creature.

To go along with this new look, we also have more of this Resident Evil 2 to look at in terms of Leon and how the visuals have been vastly improved. That was part of what Capcom was going for here with the game. Now we get to see it in full 4K and running at the highest that NVidia will let us run it on our PC. As long as you have one built in the same way and opt to play the Resident Evil 2 Remake on your PC. Not that I think it will look worse on the consoles, but there is an edge on one side if you have the funds and wants to go all the way. Have a look at what I am talking about here and get ready to get further into the gore of the game.
