Fear The Wolves Brings Another Post-Apocalyptic Battle Royale Game In 2018

Fear The Wolves

A new battle royale title, Fear The Wolves, has been announced and Fear The Wolves looks to bring many gamers into the multiplayer world

It looks like we are going to have yet another Battle Royale game added into the mix here as Fear The Wolves has been given the full announcement treatment and heading to our PS4, Xbox One, and PCs sometime in 2018. That seems to be like a broken record that is getting played here for Focus Home Interactive titles now. Not a horrible thing as Vostok Games has been working on Fear The Wolves for a while before the official announcement out at the “Le What’s Next de Focus” event that is going on, but it is still something I am taking note of. You can disregard and move right along to what the game is actually going to be bringing us.

As I said, Fear The Wolves is a new Battle-Royale game that will place you and 99 other fighters into the radiation-ravaged environments of Chernobyl. Everyone will be vying for the top spot in the game while trying to survive all of the other players out there trying to end your life but also the all of the other things the game’s world will be throwing at you. It just seems like everything is out there to stop you in Fear The Wolves, but then that can make for an engaging video game and not a “rinse and repeat” one that we usually get. I am sure you know what I am talking about by just that base description.

Not much else for Fear The Wolves has been revealed to the public just yet, but I am sure that there will be some write-ups coming soon as it is being shown off to select members of the press as I type this. You can see the full announcement just below and see if this will be a title you will be jumping ship for or just let it float out there as some games need to do. I will not judge just yet…

In development for several months, Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games — the developers who created the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise — chose the annual press event “Le What’s Next de Focus” taking place in Paris on February 7-8, to unveil Fear The Wolves, the post-apocalyptic First Person Shooter Battle Royale. Releasing in 2018, the game will offer a new and original take on the growing Battle Royale genre.

Fear The Wolves drops players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive environments of a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl. The classic Battle Royale mode forces them to fight to be the last man standing out of 100 fighters. Another intense and original game mode will also bring a fierce new twist to the genre.

To secure the top spot, players will need to worry about more than just other survivors. Across the hostile wastes, everyone is threatened by deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. Along with a day-night cycle, this constantly forces survivors to adapt their strategies, and players can find protective gear that allows them to explore dangerous off-limit zones. All the while, the howls of mutated creatures echo through the wasteland…

More details on Fear The Wolves will be unveiled to attendees at the What’s Next de Focus press event in Paris, February this year. Developers at Vostok Games will be available for interviews and presentations to share more information about their upcoming hardcore Battle Royale shooter.

Fear The Wolves comes to PC and Consoles in 2018. Early Access begins this year on PC.
