Resident Evil 7

Two more short videos for Resident Evil 7 have released and this time we see how Resident Evil 7 is using the herb and shooting guns

The next two video clips for Resident Evil 7 have been released. This time we get to see just how those green herbs in the game work and also, for the first time, Capcom shows us just how we will be using those weapons and ammo that we’ve stockpiled so far. Something I was thinking we wouldn’t get to see until January 24th when Resident Evil 7 finally hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Granted it wasn’t a strong thought but it was something I saw could have happened here. Thankfully it did not at all and now we get to see some sweet gun play action.

Before all of that though, it does look like the watch we saw in previous videos for Resident Evil 7 is in fact that “HUD” for the game when it comes to health. You can see here as the player mixes the Green Herb with other chemicals to make a healing liquid that it is no longer green and happy. It also looks like these two things together will heal almost all wounds; just like love only this one can be bottled and then dumped all over the place. I’m guessing this is going to be the difference here from Red Herbs that generally made the Green ones from before super potent. Then again, there’s still time to see more.

Resident Evil 7 — Survival

Green herbs become even more potent with a new ingredient.

Now that we’ve seen how we can heal our wounds in Resident Evil 7, let’s see just how they are getting inflicted. Well at least one way they can be inflicted as we now get to see our first taste of combat in the game. Capcom has only shown us that we’ll need to sneak around all of these enemies in the game until now and it looks like there is good reason. While the gun play does look intentionally a bit wonky here, it is what happens when we actually kill Jack here and he starts to bleed out. I won’t spoil anything here just yet, so have a look and you’ll see what I mean.

Resident Evil 7 — Immortal

Something’s not quite right with Jack.

See what I am talking about here? As we’ve yet to see any other enemies in Resident Evil 7 just yet, could this all mean that we have only this family to worry about in the game and that all of them will have the abilities of the Nemesis? This could also just be the end of a “boss fight” we see here and we are just getting into the second form of Jack in the fight. It is hard to tell but given that we’ve been forced to sneak the whole game, in the videos, so far it could just mean that we are not supposed to attack these people but if we do there will be some solid consequences. We’ll have to wait and see.

Given all of this, have your thoughts on Resident Evil 7 changed at all? Do you think that the other colored Herbs will be back in the game or will this be the only way to get more potent versions of the healing salves? Do you think that we will only have the family in the game to worry about and then will be “immortal” in a way or is this just part of the way the game is being packaged for now? Let us know what you think and feel free to discuss in the comments below. For more on Resident Evil 7 as it comes, be sure to stay right here as we will have it. There will at least be four more of these videos too.
