Injustice 2
Four new characters for Injustice 2 have been revealed and it includes some of the most requested character for Injustice 2 to date
It looks like we are getting all kinds of character reveals for Injustice 2 this week even though we were only teased with one before. I guess given that today is the big day of love out there it makes sense that NetherRealm Studios would give us more than just the one reveal. Now we have three more characters confirmed for Injustice 2 with some new gameplay for another that was already confirmed but only in a background shot from before. The roster is starting to fill up fast now and we have so much time until May 16th when it is finally launched on the PS4 and Xbox One. Unless of course there are some major issues found in that ongoing beta there that would cause anything to slow it all down.
First up, in case you missed it yesterday, it looks like fans are finally getting a character they’ve been asking for as Swamp Thing is heading into the fight for Injustice 2. He was confirmed and given a nice little gameplay breakdown on top of all of that. Not only that, but it truly looks like he has been built with DC canon in mind as well as to be an extremely well-rounded fighter in the game. Of course all of that could change once we get our hands on actually controlling him in Injustice 2 but at least there is no denying that his Super Move isn’t one of the coolest to see pulled off. Injustice 2 — Swamp Thing
Swamp Thing
The living elemental, Swamp Thing is the protector of all plant life, what he refers to as “the Green.” As the violent affairs of humanity threaten to impact fauna worldwide, Swamp Thing prepares his return to the fray to defend “the Green” from destruction.
Moving right along to today’s big reveal, and where NetherRealm Studios spread the love even further, we have another trailer focusing on some of the great female characters coming to Injustice 2. This is also where we get to see that Catwoman and Cheetah will also be combatants in the game. Catwoman seems like a no-brainer for the game but now she is confirmed and with a bit of gameplay. Cheetah on the other hand was just confirmed with very little to see, but we do get to see Poison Ivy in action a bit more as well as what I can assume is the beginning or ending of here Super Move. Also there is a bit of Black Canary mixed in as they needed a fourth female to round out the video here.
Injustice 2 — Here Come The Girls

Dr. Pamela Isley was once an innovative, radical botanical biochemist with a singular goal: make the world safe for plant life to flourish. She joins the Society to further their common interest in bringing mankind to its knees, but at heart, Ivy’s desire is to ensure that in any new world order, flora dominates fauna.
Catwoman
Consistently walking the line between hero and villain, Selina Kyle’s pilfering past as Catwoman prevents Batman from ever placing his full trust in her. As the ashes of the Regime give rise to the sinister Society, the Caped Crusader must once again speculate where this thieving feline’s loyalties lie.
Black Canary
Dinah Lance nearly sacrificed everything in her fight against the Regime but was forced to flee, before the fight was done. Now, with Batman restoring order, Black Canary has returned home to set things right, vowing to never again silence her canary’s cry.
As it stands right now, it looks like those rumored characters for Injustice 2 from back in December are looking to be about as correct as ever. Outside of Ivy, all of the others were on said list. Now we just have to wait and see if Captain Cold, Black Adam, Cyborg, Firestorm, Doctor Fate, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, and The Joker show up and we can mark all of that down as 100% accurate. Of course that also leaves seven or eight other characters still out in the unconfirmed wilds, so we can still hope that characters like Spawn or Constantine can show up at some point. Both are on my dream team so here’s hoping that they are on NetherRealm’s list as well.
