Let Final Fantasy XV’s Moogle Chocobo Carnival Festivities Begin

Final Fantasy XV

The limited time Final Fantasy XV event, Moogle Chocobo Carnival, starts next week and we can see what it adds to Final Fantasy XV if you get the pack

By now you have most likely picked up Final Fantasy XV Holiday Pack in either Free form or as part of the Season Pass for the game. It seemed odd to have been released so far back and with only a few bits of the content ready for us out of the box but Square Enix put it out there and it is still available for all to download in which ever form on the PS4 and Xbox One. Mixed in were a few new outfits for the characters of Final Fantasy XV and other minor bits but the bulk of it was listed as coming at a later date when the in-game event kicked off in the way of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. Now it looks like the wait is over and all of that will come into play here.

Starting on January 23rd, 24th for European countries, the festival kicks off in Final Fantasy XV and all of the items in the bundles will be usable and we can then attend the actual party in game. Nearly a month after we were able to get the DLC and now it is all coming into action here. At least the parts that didn’t make the game harder and cosmetic. You can see what all is coming to Final Fantasy XV in a few days here just below in the most recent video for the whole party. It does look to be quite the spectacle after all.

Final Fantasy XV — Moogle Chocobo Carnival

For a limited time, visit a transformed Altissia to celebrate the Moogle Chocobo Carnival! New side quests as well as a range of new outfits for Noctis and a spectacular fireworks show will all be available to enjoy at this special event starting January 23rd!

To access the Altissia celebrations players will need to own a Carnival Passport which can be obtained by purchasing a Holiday Pack.

There are two types of Holiday Packs available for Final Fantasy XV:

  • The Holiday Pack (Free Version) is available to all players and can be downloaded either from the Xbox Games Store or PlayStation Store
  • The Holiday Pack + includes exclusive content and can only be downloaded by players who purchased the Final Fantasy XV Season Pass

This event is also being listed as a limited time thing in Final Fantasy XV but there is still no end date to it all. Also, given that for some this was a bit of paid DLC, there is no word on if it will be reoccurring in game on any kind of basis. Pretty much until that all comes out I’d say it would be your best bet to check it all out as soon as possible just to make sure. Also for players who have yet to get to Altissia in Final Fantasy XV, you may want to light a fire under your game playing ass to do so. That is the in game location where it is all going down. While the costumes and items may pop up without going there it does look like the bulk of it all will be in the city there.

Are you ready for this Final Fantasy XV event to fire off or will you be doing some major gameplay marathon over the weekend? Do you think that this will be a yearly event in the game given that some of it is part of the paid Season Pass or will it truly be limited? Do you think it could be a yearly, monthly, or quarterly kind of event to make sure that all players have a chance no matter when they give the game a chance? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Final Fantasy XV and all of the DLC that will be coming here soon, be sure to stay right here as we’ll do our best to keep you as informed as possible.
