Minecraft: Story Mode Is Wrapping Up Here In No-Time

Minecraft: Story Mode

The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode’s final episode of the first season is almost upon us as we’ll see if there will be more Minecraft after

As we say all the time, all things come to an end and with Minecraft: Story Mode we are just about there. It’s been a ride from Telltale Games to get here and I am sure that Mojang is loving the treatment that they have given their franchise. Now here we go with Episode Eight for Minecraft: Story Mode as it is releasing on September 15th. Not a long wait at all and now we get to see the conclusion of it all. That is unless they plan on expanding it out even more episodes here.

It is a bit odd to not have a solid trailer for this episode here but at least we have a nice breakdown of what is going on. It looks like we are going into a gladiator fight here in Minecraft as we are trying to get back home. I’m not sure if this will be a cluster of a mess given how the combat goes in the game here but I guess we’ll find out soon. Hopefully there will be more choices in story than just a lot of button mashing. Although it does sound like there could be multiple ends in some case.

In addition to all of the same voice cast coming back for this last episode it looks like we are getting a few huge names joining into the mix. Jim Cummings and Kari Wahlgren are lending their talents to Minecraft: Story Mode to help shape some of the higher ups and Old Builders. You can see below what else they are both well known for as a nice little surprise but I am sure that you might know just by name. Now we wait until next week…

Minecraft: Story Mode — A Journey’s End?

In Episode 8: ‘A Journey’s End?’, with Harper leading them to the world of the Old Builders, Jesse and crew finally have their chance to return home… but it won’t be easy, and the stakes are high. You’ll need to take on opponents in a series of gladiatorial games to win your freedom, save your friends, and maybe, just maybe, make it back to your own world!

The all-star cast gets two more new additions for this episode, with Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh, Darkwing Duck) as Hadrian, the leader of the Old Builders; and Kari Wahlgren (Rick and Morty, The Fairly Odd Parents) as Mevia, the Enforcer.

Are you ready for Minecraft: Story Mode to finally come to an end? Have you enjoyed the experience so far or will you be left wanting no matter how this episode ends? Do you think it will be more QTEs and not so many dialog choices or the other way around? Let us know and feel free to discuss in the comments below. For more on Minecraft: Story Mode if there is any more, be sure to stay right here as we’ll keep the coverage coming as we can.
