Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is Announced With New Story For The Franchise

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

During the Star Wars Celebration, we had word and video that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is announced and heading to us this coming November

There was so much teasing and now we are finally here with the announcement of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order fresh out of the major celebration that was going on for the franchise over the weekend. A franchise that has needed a bit of work to revitalize general gamers back into it all and not rely on the hardcore fans alone to keep it all over in the EA wheelhouse. More so when there was word of an amazing sounding title canceled a while back. I guess it is great news to hear that Respawn Entertainment dropped everything to move over and get us all a new third-person action-adventure title in the Star Wars universe. All to be led by the same person that brought us God Of War III. Not a bad setup thus far.

Not much in the way of how Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will play is out there, but there is a bit of the story to take in while knowing there will be all the fan-favorites in there with lightsabers and Force powers. The story here picks us after Episode III and the purge of the Jedi in the universe. The main role we will play is that of a Cal Kestis who is a Padawan that survived the purge of Order 66. Cal needs to finish training and set things in motion to bring the order back and get the magic space ninjas up and running again in the Star Wars universe. Not an easy task but it is what Cal will need to go through.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order — Reveal Trailer

Cal Kestis — one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66 — is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season, 15 November 2019.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game set after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. Develop your Force abilities, hone your lightsaber techniques, and explore the ancient mysteries of a long-lost civilization—all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.

To aid in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the story that is told, we will get to see the classic locations, items, and a few characters from the franchise mixed in. The better news is that we will get to see new locations to the universe as well as new characters that have yet to be seen. It sounds like Respawn has been given some freedom to build this Star Wars title and make sure it is part of the ever-growing canon. How well this will hold is yet to be seen as we wait for actual gameplay to flow out there, but given that it will be dropping on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15th we may not be waiting long. All great news for casual fans and hardcore alike.

Are you excited to see a single-player, story-driven Star Wars game coming or do you think that the franchise has been milked too much for now? Is this an aspect of the universe you have been dying to dig into or is it outside what you are interested in? What new powers and abilities do you think we will see or will they just be deviations of the basic things already established in the universe? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When there is more for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, we will surely have it all here. All you need to do is keep checking back in to not miss out.
