Assassin’s Creed Mirage
A new look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage gives us a look at more familiar things for Assassin’s Creed with a fun little extra
It would not be a massive Gamescom this year if we did not get something new to look at for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Well, more for the IP that we have been getting close to every year from Ubisoft for a while now, but this is just the next in the line. No matter the case, we have more to look at for the game with a nice little extra slipped right in as we explore the city of Baghdad that will be coming to us with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. All on October 5th for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Get ready to head closer to the roots of the IP again.
While there is nothing too flashy to see in terms of gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Mirage here, we do get some great shots of the city that have been recreated here. A thing that the team has always been able to do a great job in many of the games for quite some time now. Even when there are things that the team cannot go and see in person to get the true references. It does feel like we are getting to go back into Baghdad before things were all destroyed by time and other things. Also, with the announcement that there will be an option to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage with full Arabic voiceovers. If you need that extra level of authenticity in the mix.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage — The Round City Of Baghdad
Coming October 5, 2023.
Journey into 9th century Baghdad with this immersive look at the Round City at its height, complete with a full Arabic voiceover.
This does lead me to wonder if we are going to get another of the explorer modes in Assassin’s Creed Mirage so we can turn off all the combat and just wander about looking at everything. I loved this feature back in Odyssey and would be curious to see things in this new setting. When it comes to the voiceover stuff, though, I am curious who this is actually for besides the part of the world that actually speaks the language. I get that Assassin’s Creed has its roots there and there will be a group of gamers that will need the language option, but I am not sure why it is a full selling point here. Maybe if it was fully localized for every language out there, sure, but it seems weird to call out for something only 375 million humans will be able to fully enjoy.
How do you feel about going back to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed locations and will it be a faithful recreation? Will we get an exploration mode in this one or will that be a feature that comes down the line instead of on day one? Will you want to play the game with the Arabic voiceovers or will you be switching to your native tongue no matter the case? Take to the comment section to discuss it all and let the world know. We are going to share more for Assassin’s Creed Mirage as we get closer to the release date, so please keep on checking back for all of that and much, much more.
