This Week In Video Games 3/9/26 — 3/13/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

Put a fork in this week, as it is done, and we have so many video games to look at here. So many with just basic updates, and others with some massive things to take in. Like the fact that #SouthOfMidnight is finally jumping onto other consoles. A new VR title in #TheBoys universe is on the way in time for the series finale. Along with some deep dives into a few other video games like #TheOccultist and #ControlResonant. So much fun and always more to come. We just need to make sure to keep all of our eyes open for everything that is about to drop. Even if that can be a little overwhelming at times.

Grapple With More Of The Darkness Soon With The Release Date For BrokenLore: Follow

The BrokenLore IP carries on further with the release date laid out there for the prequel title, #BrokenLoreFollow

If there is one small IP that seems to have something coming out all of the time, it is this one with the announcement that #BrokenLore: FOLLOW is coming out there on June 1st. That is the release date that Serafini Productions has given us, and so far, they have been rock solid on hitting those timelines. At least, all based on my experience with the BrokenLore titles up to now. That all aside, this new prequel to Unfollow is slated for the date and for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. Along with this new update, we also have a little bit of new gameplay to look at and see just how dark things are going to be in this new title in the IP. So many titles in so little time.

Life Is Strange: Reunion Puts A Mask On As We Head Into A Party

Life Is Strange: Reunion Puts A Mask On As We Head Into A Party

New gameplay for Life Is Strange: Reunion is out there, as we watch our #LifeIsStrange protagonists sneak about the world

It looks as if it is time to crash a party as we wait for Life Is Strange: #Reunion to fully launch out there on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. Well, more that Max and Chloe are going to be crashing a party for some reason in the game, and Deck Nine Games has given us a look at it all with some new gameplay to enjoy. It is something that will keep the game fresh in our minds until March 26th, that is for sure. Especially since this new look at Life Is Strange: Reunion shows off how dark some of the content matter might get in the mix, as this is not going to be just any party we are sneaking into. It is a party for a secret society in the world, and we all might know what that is going to lead to. If not, then get ready to find out in the latest footage.

Confront Some Truths Next Month With The Release Of WILL: Follow The Light

Confront Some Truths Next Month With The Release Of WILL: Follow The Light

Get ready to join in the journey with Will, as we have a release date for the upcoming #WILL: Follow The Light

The Northern wilderness is calling to us all, and we are going to get to wander about the area a bit more soon with the release of WILL: #FollowTheLight. As long as you have been looking to follow this light that TomorrowHead Studio is going to be giving us on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. I know not every gamer is into the single-player story-driven titles out there. Those who are can now mark down April 28th as a date that they are going to have a new experience to undertake. That would be the latest release date that WILL: Follow The Light has for us to look forward to. It feels like it was a long time coming, but now it’s only a little over a month of time to wait. How very exciting. I’m ready for all of this.

Directive 8020 I Launching Out There With Some Fancier Path Tracing

Directive 8020 I Launching Out There With Some Fancier Path Tracing

Those on the PC with Directive 8020 will have some better sights, as #Directive8020 is launching with all the Nvidia perks

There was some big news out of GDC this year and it is all about some of the new path tracing tech that PC gamers will be able to see, with Directive 8020 adding to the list of titles out there. This is not overly surprising given how Supermassive Games has always been trying to push forward and evolve their methods. At least, that is how I have always seen it from their titles. Now, on May 12th, those who are playing Directive 8020 on the #PC and have the latest Nvidia hardware installed with the coming updates, you will get to see the full game with these path tracing elements and the DLSS 4.5 reconstruction. Those who will be playing the game on the #PS5 and #XboxSeriesX|S, sadly, will just have to settle for the following look and other videos uploaded from those who have the hardware.

It’s Time To Go Commando With The Launch For John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

It’s Time To Go Commando With The Launch For John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

Team up with your Co-Op buddies in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando as the world of #ToxicCommando has now launched

We’ve had plenty of time to figure out our squad to take in, and today we can do that with the launch of John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. It’s good we had the time to figure all of that out, as it seems that the Co-Op that Saber Interactive has for us in the game could leave us open to being hurt. Not by anything in the game, but the other players of Toxic Commando might not be that helpful for you. That’s the joke they are going with when it comes to the look at the co-op in the game, even if it does seem like that wouldn’t be the best thing to do, as the swarms are coming at us. Yet, given how humans are, it’s going to happen, and you can see a little bit of that before you jump into the title that has just launched.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Opens The Box On The Game’s Origins

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Opens The Box On The Game’s Origins

A new developer diary for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is here and it shows us how this is not going to be just a rehash of #Hellraiser of the past

With so much lore to dig from to bring Clive Barker’s #HellraiserGame: Revival, it would have been easy to just to give us all a retelling of what we have seen over the past few decades. I am sure that has crossed the minds of everyone after seeing the original announcement. Thankfully, it looks as if Saber Interactive is making it truly known that it is not going to be the case. Sure, the game will have a few things to be expected to make it feel like it is a Hellraiser story, but in the latest developer diary we have for the game, it looks as if they are making sure it is going to sit on its own when it lands on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. Just as we have seen with many of the movies, books, and graphic novels since it was first brought into our world. Let us have a look at how that is going to be here.
