A new title in the SAW IP is on the way to us, with the announcement of #SAWGenesis taking us into The Great War
Even though the film side of things seems to be in a weird limbo, the video game side of things got a little bit of a surprise with #SAW: Genesis getting announced. A new and interesting entry into the IP with Anshar Studios and Bloober Team coming together to bring it all to the #PC. Not the exact set of teams I was expecting, yet still the teams that I have a feeling have a good chance of doing it correctly. Even if SAW: Genesis does seem to take a weird turn right out of the gate when it comes to the setting. Not that they moved out of a nameless, brooding city, but that the game will set just after the time of The Great War. That would be World War I for those who might have thought this was some different war that the game might be referencing.

The horrors of the Alien IP are carrying on, with the full reveal we just had for #Alien: Isolation 2
We all knew it was coming, and now we are here with the official reveal for #AlienIsolation2. A title that Creative Assembly was not coy about coming, as they announced it almost two years ago, but out of all of the recent videos dropped out there, we have an official reveal for the game. On that, it might be a little different from what any of you might have thought was on the way to us all. One that still holds up the fact that nowhere is safe in the universe of Alien, and the Ripley family is not getting any breaks when it comes to all of that. With that all said, let’s see what was revealed and on the way to us all for the game out of all of the announcements as we wait for this one to come to the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC when it is ready.

The Resident Evil remakes keep coming, with the official announcement that we now have for #ResidentEvil Veronica
The fans have been crying out for it, and after a solid run at remakes that Capcom has been giving us all, we are finally getting #REVeronica. This would be a remake of the Code Veronica title from so long ago for those who are not fully up on their gaming lore, even if the title should have given that away a little bit. That all said, it was revealed to us and the world that Resident Evil #Veronica will be giving this little title a new bit of life with a release on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC in 2027. That is a bit of a turnaround for it all, given that we just had the recent mainline title release this year, but they do have quite a few working on the IP over there, so I can see how that can all flow out there. That all said, let us have a look at just what was announced and on the way in the coming year.

The conclusion to the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga is almost here, with the official reveal and gameplay for #FinalFantasyVII Revelation
The teasing is finally over, and we now have the announcement for #FF7R. The third and final part of the remake run that Square Enix has been taking their time with. The one that will bring us so many things we’ve been waiting for in terms of characters, world building, and the story. Not to mention, to see if the story for the remake is going to truly deviate from the Final Fantasy VII we had so long ago. All of that, and without anyone needing to wait to get that ending, as the game is slated to release on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC at the same time in the Spring of 202. So, there’s still a little bit of a wait, but the end of the saga is almost here. For now, let’s take a look at the new gameplay features we can expect.

The single player mode for Halloween is on display to give us a feel for how that will play out when #Halloween starts
We have had the multiplayer look at #HalloweenTVG, and now we have a solid update on how the single-player part of the game will flow out there. The bigger selling point for so many when IllFonic and Gun Interactive said that the game would have a true single-player mode on top of the asymmetric multiplayer modes that can get rather repetitive quickly. This is something that a few other titles have tried before, and with September 8th not as far off as many might think, this could be the biggest selling point for Halloween when it is ready for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC. At least for the audience that currently has so many options for the style of play, or has watched as all of the others have been shut down in rather quick timelines. So, let’s see how this one will shake things up for us.

A new look at Stage Tour is out there after the big weekend, and we get a tease of the music and gameplay coming to #StageTour
Those rhythm game fans, like us, have some great news out there for the upcoming Stage Tour. Not only did we get further confirmation that the game is on the way to us all before the end of the year for the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC, but we also got a great new developer update that dives into so many aspects of the game. Including a little bit of the music that we will get to play in this new title. Also, for those who love to have fun cosmetics, a solid look at that for your performers, along with the various instruments that we will get in-game and out of game for Stage Tour. That does mean more plastic drums, guitars, and microphones, but when you see how it will all flow in the near future, you might be okay with having all of that. Even if there will be an option to hit all of the notes with just your basic controller, if you do not want to go all-out for the game.

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the #SummerGameFest continues on, along with the #IGNLive event that will go down over the weekend. We cannot allow that to take away from the big things we saw this week with #GodOfWar #Laufey, Marvel’s #WolverinePS5, and #UntilDawn2 getting a showcase during the week, but that does mean that the week is not fully over. Just what we can handle with the load around here for all of the video games. This is why we all miss bigger events like #E3 or when #SDCC held more of the in-person fun instead of sitting around just watching all the marketing hype pushed out there. That is a topic for a different time, though.
