This Week In Video Games 9/8/26 — 9/11/26

This Week In Video Games 9/8/26 — 9/11/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

We finally made it through the week, and even though it was a shorter one for all of our video games, it felt as if it took a lot longer to survive than normal. Survive it all we did, and soon we will be playing Marvel’s #WolverinePS5 and #StupidNeverDies on our systems. That or watching the #ResidentEvilMovie in theaters and pining for when #MetroidRavenous and #FinalFantasyVII Revelation will release in 2027. So many things in the world of video games, but it still felt like it took a lot out of all of us to make it to the end. Maybe it is about the day that we are writing all of this on or something. That can be a solid reason as we get ready to head into the following week to see what else we can offer up out there.

Get Ready To Dance Through The Ages With The Reveal Of Just Dance: Decades Of Hits

Just Dance is on its way back to us all, with the latest announcement for #JustDance: Decades Of Hits

Get your dancing shoes ready, as we have Just Dance: #DecadesOfHits on the way to us all on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Switch 2 as of today. In fact, they’ll be on the way to us all very soon, as Ubisoft didn’t just reveal this title, but also gave it an October 13th release date for all of those platforms. A perfect little treat for all of us out there who have been waiting for a new Just Dance title to bring home. Especially after going through all of the subscriptions and other forms that the IP has taken over the decades. That is to say, this one will be bringing it all into one space for us to play around in, and not require so many other things to get out there on the floor again. That also includes the hardware… for the most part…

Call Up Some New Terror As We Launch Into The Horrors Of Cosmic Fear

Call Up Some New Terror As We Launch Into The Horrors Of Cosmic Fear

The launch for Cosmic Fear is officially here, and we have a little more of the #CosmicFear to look at

The time has come for some of us on the PC to finally face some fears, with the full launch of Cosmic Fear. This is that little indie title I brought up not too long ago that will delve deep into so many of the Lovecraftian mindset and horrors. All from a solo developer, and to help us all to see if humanity has any grasp on reality out there. I mean, we all know that’s not going to be the case, in general, but Cosmic Fear is going to give us all a fun way to look at things. A way that you can currently head out to play as soon as you’re done reading all of this and watching the final video that we have for the game. Let’s jump right into that so you can start playing with all of the horrors you might imagine out there in the cosmos.

Get A Solid Recap Of The Story So Far Before The Release Of Control Resonant

Get A Solid Recap Of The Story So Far Before The Release Of Control Resonant

Relive what we had in Control before the story continues onward with the upcoming #ControlResonant in a few weeks

We are so very close to the launch of #Control Resonant on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with September 24th just around the corner. There has been a good amount of speculation as to how Remedy is carrying the story forward and the Hiss escaped The Oldest House. There have also been a few out there who might not know how that all came to be, missing out on the original story of it all. There is still time to replay or play Control, but we all know that we are not made of all the time in the world. Those who have the time will be able to hammer out there fun we had before, but for those who cannot spend hours playing a game, it looks as if we have you covered. All with a new recap video for the original game to see what happened to Jesse and how Dylan will be involved in the next run of things.

The Truth Is Launching Out There Into The Horrors Of BrokenLore: DON’T LIE

The next launch into the BrokenLore line of titles is here, with the full launch for #BrokenLore: DON’T LIE

We’ve finally made it through the wait, and #BrokenLoreDONTLIE has officially launched out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A way for us all to share in the isolation of Junko in the game, and see where Serafini Productions is going to take us in the mix of the IP that they’ve been pumping out there. As long as you’ve been following the BrokenLore line of titles. Even if I’m fairly certain you don’t have to, so you can fully enjoy each of the titles. We’ll know for certain as of today if you head out there and give the game a go after waiting for so long, and seeing how this Japanese horror has been building up in the lore for so very long. Let’s all take a moment and see.

All The Resident Evil Remakes Are On The Way To The Switch 2

All The Resident Evil Remakes Are On The Way To The Switch 2

The Switch 2 will have more of the Resident Evil fun landing on it, with the #ResidentEvil Remakes making the way over

Just in time for the upcoming film, it looks as if we have the announcement that so many of the Resident Evil remakes will be making their way over to the Switch 2. Sadly, this will not be in time to play before the film, but Capcom will be dropping them all over there before Halloween. At least in digital form. So, if you have been holding out for the remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, or 4, then you will need to get excited to see them landing on the Switch 2 this October 16th. If you are looking to get them in a physical form, you will need to wait until January 29th, but that is not too long of a wait. Not to get what you are about to see in the following video, we have to showcase them all. #ResidentEvilMovie

Things Are Getting A Bit Wild In The Universe With The Reveal Of Metroid Ravenous

The Metroid series lives on, as we have the official announcement out there for #MetroidRavenous next year

Samus is back, as we now have #Metroid Ravenous to look forward to hitting the Switch 2 in the very near future. That’s not just hyperbole, but also the fact that Mercury Steam and Nintendo not only made the announcement, but also gave us all a release date to see when our bounty hunter was taking back to the job out there with her arm cannon. It was such a massive day for us all out there as fans of Metroid, as all of this comes along with a new bit of gameplay to hype us all up for the January 28th release date. A date that also brings with it some other physical fun for the IP for those who want to shell out just a little more to enjoy the game. Let’s all have a look.
