A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
There we go, wrapping up one more week and covering so many video games and pop culture things going on out there in the world. Some are to get us all ready for #SDCC2026, and others are to build into #EVO2026, which is going on as you are reading all of this. Not too shabby after cleaning up all of the titles we missed, like #MarvelTokon: Fighting Souls and #TheWalkingDead: Streets Of Survival from before. That is in addition to getting further updates for video games like #SAWGenesis and #InvincibleVS as well. Not the biggest of weeks, but still one that has cleared up so much to get us ready for all that the summer truly has to offer up, now that it has officially started.

See a new look at how Virtua Fighter will handle the new way of fighting in the upcoming #VirtuaFighter Crossroads
After having #VFCrossroads announced a little bit back, and seeing how things are going to be shifting when it comes to combat and story, it’s a good time to see how some of those scenarios are going to flow out there. Not to mention, with #EVO2026 going on out there, I’m sure we’ll have all manner of things to look at from RGG Studio and SEGA for the game. So, why not start out with how the Scenario Battles will flow in Virtua Fighter Crossroads? This would be the mode that shifts us away from the one-on-one fights and into something that will have us fighting from all directions when the game lands on us in 2027. Enough of the yapping, though, and let’s see how things have been elevated for the game and IP here.

The annual SDCC Fandom Party is on, with another fun headliner announced to play this year’s #SDCC Fandom Party
If there was any doubt that we would see #Fandom back at SDCC again, you can put all of that to rest. The ninth annual party has now been set for the convention, and we have a list of what to expect and who will be bringing us all together in the fun after hours. That’s also not to say that there will not be a lot of things we did not expect to be out there again, but that is for all involved to surprise us all with. Even if we do know that Halo: Campaign Evolved will be a big hit out there, along with all of the visual novels that Z2 Comics has brought us in the past. All to be closed out by the performances of The Coverups, featuring Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Yeah, this year’s Fandom Part is going to be another one that no one will want to miss. #SDCC2026

The Happy’s Humble saga carries on, with a new co-op version on the way in the form of #HappysHumbleBurgatory
We’ll be firing up the grills again on July 16th, as Happy’s Humble Burgatory is on the way to the #PC to give us more horror in the creepy world that Scythe Studios has built for us. Not in the way of a sequel to the previous #HappysHumbleBurgerFarm, but with a new co-op horror experience that will have us and 3 other friends serving up the food and trying to survive the night. Only with a few extra twists that we didn’t have to deal with in the original game out there. Twists that can both help us in our shifts, or make sure we’re not making it home with our pay. Well, our pay or at all, as it could bring some of the darkness into our virtual lives a little faster. All based on things we might be saying in the real world out here. Creepy, but it looks like so much fun.

The developers for When Sirens Fall Silent have offered up a new look at the world & gameplay coming with #WhenSirensFallSilent
If the world wasn’t already dark in the first place, When Sirens Fall Silent is coming to our #PC to show us just how much darker things could be. That has been the tone and themes that the game has been working with for a while now, as it will have us trying to uncover a dark mystery in the world. One that follows the path of kidnappings and murders in the world. Not that LKA needs to shine a light on that for most of us to know, but that is part of what When Sirens Fall Silent will have us explore when it’s ready. While that time might still be a bit down the road, the team did want to give us something new to look at as they present to us the world that most of us will, hopefully, never need to navigate out there.

Styx is getting a new way to tackle all of the missions in #Styx: Blades Of Greed with a New Game+ update
It has been a few months since we all had a chance to join a new heist in Styx: #BladesOfGreed, and now we have a new and big update for the game. Just when you thought that Cyanide Studios might have moved on to the next big title to have Nacon publish, they drop a New Game+ update on us all. All to give us another reason to head back into Styx: Blades Of Greed to give all of the missions another try, just with all of the upgrades and abilities that we have unlocked before the end credits rolled the first time. That or to give new players another reason to keep the fun going after their first experience with this little, thieving goblin out there in the fantasy world on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC.

A new narrative horror title, Impermanence, is on the way to us all, and we have a slight look at #Impermanence in the announcement
Grief can quickly do a number on someone who isn’t able to handle it, and that seems to be the story going down in Impermanence. Not with anything that is going on behind-the-scenes with Bad Choices Loud Noises or Duckosaurus Games, hopefully, but mainly with the protagonist in the upcoming horror title for the #PC. All to give us a dark and grim look at how grief, refusing to let go, and obsession can shape the world we live in. In the case of Impermanence, it looks to be much more than just the perceived world of the person suffering from it. That all said, let’s have a look at what has been announced and how it could be helping the rest of us look at this darkness in a completely different way.
