A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
We made it through another fun week, and had so many more video games release and get some big updates. Even if titles like #GrandTheftAuto VI and #GodOfWar Laufey had very little to add to the title for now, it was still a massive week for us all. Not to mention that we had a little more wrap-up from #SDCC2026, and one more of the mazes that we can expect to try to game our way through for #HalloweenHorrorNights. Sure, some of those are not video games, but they are interactive experiences. Some of them can hold more weight than some of those game titles out there, so we will keep on offering up the news for them all. You will be glad, someday, that we did all of that. I know it. #GTA6 #HHN

We have the full God Of War Laufey panel out of SDCC this year, and we get the release date for #GodOfWar Laufey out of it all
It was reported early on that we were going to have a bit of a panel out there at #SDCC for God Of War #Laufey. One that was supposed to give us a bunch to look forward to for the game, and to help Santa Monica Studio help to get us all onboard again with the #PS5 and what PlayStation has been doing. Well, they all took the stage, and it was a packed house out there at #SDCC2026, and there were a lot who did not get to experience it. Thankfully, they chose to record the full panel out there to let all fans see what is on the way for God Of War Laufey. Even if the biggest announcement that they had to share was that the game is coming to us on February 16th, 2027. So, just before the cutoff where they are going to strip away physical games.

We had a chance to play around with the machines that Stern Pinball brought during #SDCC, along with the newest #Transformers Pinball experience to have
At Comic Con this year, AggroGamer was afforded the opportunity to demo the new Stern #Pinball machine based on the Transformers, as well as one for #Pokemon. We tested the premium model, which is the 2nd tier as far as price and extras in the usual Stern line of Pro, Premium, and Limited. The model has the standard two flippers at the base and a single 3rd at the upper right. A feature not always common but an interesting and sometimes welcome addition is a pole at the center past the bottom flippers with a small rubber ring on it. This is a useful feature if your ball has a center “dead drop” with the ball falling in a way the flipper cannot touch it. It won’t always bounce straight back up, but it’s a fun way to potentially save your ball if you have the nerve to let it do so. Ball saves are generous, which is especially nice if you are new to it or trying for trickier shots. As always, the Stern QR code scanner is included. #SDCC

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week
We were finally able to get back into form around here and cover so many video games, and so many non-game-specific things around here. We are fresh off the #SDCC train, and there was so much going on out there that we had to dip into. Things like #StageTour and Marvel’s #WolverinePS5 for starters. Then some of the non-video games things like our interview for #DungeonCrawlerCarl and a look at everything going down for the upcoming #ResidentEvilMovie. Okay, that last one is a bit of a straddle between all of the media, but it still counts as us going outside the norm for just gaming. Not to mention one of the bigger highlights we had during #SDCC2026.

We had a chance to rock out with the makers of Stage Tour during SDCC and got some insight into #StageTour and what fans should expect
There is certainly one new game on the way to the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC this year that we have been excited for, and that is Stage Tour. The new rhythm game that brought RedOctane Games back into the mix to make sure all of our plastic guitars are not just collecting dust. All while making sure we are still rocking out until the late nights. Well, we had a chance to swing by the Stage Tour booth during #SDCC to give the game a go, check out that comic book for the game, as well as talk to the team behind the game. A nice long talk that we were able to capture for you on the show floor. Let us not keep you all waiting, so you can see and hear the interview we were able to have out there at #SDCC2026.

We had a chance to sit down with the talent behind Dungeon Crawler Carl during SDCC and got some insight into #DungeonCrawlerCarl and the audiobooks
If one new IP was able to take over #SDCC this year, it was certainly Dungeon Crawler Carl. A relatively new book series that I am sure you have heard a few things about, or seen a few of the memes on the internet. As long as you are into the video game space, or the gaming space in general. If not, then get ready to learn a bit more about the IP, as Audible had us out to interview the writer of Dungeon Crawler Carl (Matt Dinniman), along with the main voice talent (Jeff Hays) for the audiobook version of the series. It was short, sweet, and gave us a feeling for how the IP could be going forward in all of the various interactive mediums out there. Let us get this interview started for you. #SDCC2026 #Audible

Go further into the story for Marvel’s Wolverine, with a look at the game and the SDCC panel for Marvel’s #Wolverine
Many know the story so far for the character, but it looks as if things are going to be shaken up a little bit in Marvel’s #WolverinePS5 when it comes to the story. Not just how it will link into the universe that Insomniac Games has been building for a while, but what will be different for this version of the character. That seems to be just what the panel at #SDCC covered this year, along with giving us a few more characters that Wolverine will be dealing with along the way. Some that we have seen before, and now a few more to look forward to when the game lands on the PS5 this coming September 15th. Let us have a look at the story and just what was given to fans at #SDCC2026 in the massive Hall H panel.
