Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Next Major Update Has Some More Details

Assassin’s Creed Origins

New updates are coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins before the end of the month and one of them happens to be the first major DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins

Hopefully you have not put Assassin’s Creed Origins down just yet as it looks like Ubisoft is gearing up to bring the first major update to the game here in real short order. Short order as in the next few weeks before January comes to a close. We will see the first expansion, The Hidden Ones, landing its way into Assassin’s Creed Origins and further expanding out the world of the game and its story. At least if you have picked up the Season Pass already or are opting to purchase each new DLC as it drops. This one is not a free update after all but it does look to bring a lot more to the story as well as some new level caps to 45 now. That seems like something that should be part of a free update, but I am guessing that the extra story will be the only thing that requires it for now and that is why the choice was made.

Thankfully, this is not the only update coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins if you are more of the thrifty gamer who does not like to be bothered with smaller DLC transactions after enjoying a game. We will also be seeing two more gods join in on the Trials of the Gods part of the game so get ready to take on Anubis and Sobek when the time comes. We will also see a few more options in the way of gear and outfits for Assassin’s Creed Origins too. All purchased with in-game currency or using your Ubisoft Club Rewards Points to unlock. If you have made it through most of the core game so far then you should be able to pick them all up right out of the gate when they do hit the marketplace.

To make things easy for you, here is a list of all that is coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins and the respective dates you can look to see them in your game. Some will be during a timeframe and others just listed as before the end of the month. It is weird to announce that the next big expansion is coming, but not give us a solid date to expect it. I would like to think they know what they are doing over there, but it could be anyone’s call at this point. Have a look.

Title Update

A new title update will be released in January to add more content to the game. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • A new quest to celebrate the arrival of the first expansion, The Hidden Ones
  • Update to the Heka chests item pool, which adds the items from the Nightmare and First Civilization packs, as well as the Gladiator and Wacky packs to the pool
  • A new option to sell outfits at weaver shops

The Hidden Ones

January marks the arrival of the first major expansion, The Hidden Ones. In this expansion, Bayek and the Assassins will clash with the Romans, who occupy an all-new region in the game.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Delve into an all-new vast story
  • A level cap increase from 40 to 45
  • The Hidden Ones will be available for no additional cost to Season Pass owners

Trials of the Gods

We hope one of your New Year’s resolutions for 2018 is fighting the gods, if you haven’t already! You’ll be able to face two of the deities again this month.

  • Anubis – January 9–16
  • Sobek – January 23–30

What do you think of all of the stuff that is coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins here before the end of January? Does it look like enough to get you to pick the game back up if you have set it down or are you still trudging through and will take the extra bonuses? Do you think the level cap will only be tied to the paid DLC here or will it come for all so that we can stay on even grounds no matter if thrifty or “need to have it all?” Let us know your thoughts on all of it and then discuss. When we learn more for Assassin’s Creed Origins, you will learn more for Assassin’s Creed Origins. At least if you keep checking back in on the site here. You know you will want to do just that…
