It is crazy to think that we are in the final stages before seeing Black Myth: Wukong fully landing on the PS5 and PC. It feels like it was so very long ago that Game Science blew many minds with the original concept and short clips of what they were working on and now, on August 20th, we will get to see it in full. Sorry, to those looking to play Black Myth: Wukong on the Xbox Series X|S, as that still needs to be ironed out. Thankfully, for all, we have some new gameplay to celebrate this upcoming release and the last bit we are going to get before the game lands in all of our hands. Let us see how this small team brought such an amazing-looking title to life and what we can expect to play when it does land out there.
Before you worry, this new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong does not offer up much in the way of spoilers but does walk us through a bit more on this new retelling of the Journey To The West story. All with the high-end visuals and fluid combat we have seen in the past for the game. That is still one of the bigger selling points for it all and it looks as if the team is fully delivering. We get to see our monkey king flow through various stances and weapons while taking on many of the different creatures and beings in the mythology out there too. All while leaving us still wondering how Black Myth: Wukong will deviate from being a shot-for-shot retelling of the novel. Black Myth: Wukong is set to launch worldwide from GameScience on Aug. 20, 2024, for PC and PlayStation 5. The release timing for the Xbox Series X|S version will be disclosed later.
