Destruction AllStars Looks To Bring Some Rather Explosive Gameplay To Us

Destruction AllStars

A new State Of Play is here for Destruction AllStars that dives further into the modes and motivations we should have when playing Destruction AllStars

Earlier in the week, we had confirmation that Destruction AllStars was going to be one of the free PS5 titles for the month of February on the PlayStation Plus side of things. Not the biggest of shocks as it was laid out like this for a bit but then the confirmation came. Now, it looks like Lucid Games is fully ready to give us the download on what is going on in Destruction AllStars and how we will be playing it after so many teases and fun videos out there. The gameplay seemed to hint a bit at it all, but in the latest State of Play out there, we have a full breakdown of the modes and other actions we can take part in. Also, there is a better explanation of how each of the characters in the game will truly function differently.

Here we have three different gameplay modes for Destruction AllStars that will have our character and their vehicles fighting for the top slot out there. Yes, they both will have their own function and be available for others to take out in the various means we have seen in the gameplay. This also means that they will have some special abilities that look to be shared between the two. Characters Shyft and Pita look to have invisibility and fire trails respectively. Their vehicles can do the same to help them get some kind of advantage in the game’s arenas. Even if it does feel a little farfetched that a character trailing fire behind them will be able to take down or slow a vehicle trying to run them down.

Speaking of vehicles, we have the traditional three options we normally see in games like this just with the Destruction AllStars flair. A speed option, a heavy option, and a balanced option. All of which offer up the exact bonuses we would expect. Also, this is all something we will have to manage when we go into the different modes as one will be a better fit for the Carnado arena where we need to fling cars into a tornado to gain points. Another will need us to navigate an arena that is falling apart and crashing down. All while the last one will be what looks like the basic destruction derby that Destruction AllStars looked like it was going to hold from the start of it all. You can see it all in motion just below.

Does this all change your thoughts on Destruction AllStars and get you ready to dive in or will you still have to slowly see how it goes? What do you think the other characters in the game will be able to do based on this and will they all be the basics we can think of? Do you think that we will make use of the real-world currency in the game or will we aim to play the whole game for free no matter what? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more for Destruction AllStars, we will share it all here. Be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much, much more.
