Dive In For The Latest Update For Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West

It is time to go underwater in Horizon Forbidden West and see the new features this brings to the Horizon world

There is no big surprise that Horizon Forbidden West will give us more of the ability to take a dive and explore some of the new underwater areas in the game. We have been seeing little bits of this from Guerrilla Games since the game was first announced and still in a pre-rendered form. Now, we have a chance to take that dive and see a little bit on how that will function and play out in Horizon Forbidden West. Especially since Aloy is not one of those characters that can generally hold their breath for insane amounts of time and there needs to be some kind of mechanic around that in the game. Here we go with a little bit of a showing before it hits the PS4 and PS5 on February 18th.

While it is not the top quality of videos to take in, it is from one of the Horizon social accounts, we do get to see some of the game mixed in here. Also with the data points that explain the mechanics behind some of it. Like the fact that Aloy has a mask to put on so there can be that unlimited breathing underwater. Then there is a bit that uses colored seaweed to work as the tall grass so we have places to hide underwater too. There is also some mechanic that will allow us to breach the water and presumably attack from under the water, but the video cuts off before that is truly shown here. I guess we need to keep some of the excitement held back until Horizon Forbidden West launches. Have a look and get ready for a whole new dimension to our gameplay.

Are you excited to go underwater in this Horizon game or will it be something you try to avoid along the way? How do you think combat will work underwater given how most of Aloy’s attacks would be greatly hindered by the water? Do you suspect we will have many stealth attacks here and will that be what the breaching move ends up being? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. More for Horizon Forbidden West is on the way, so be sure to keep checking back for all of that and more. We will keep the news rolling out as best we can.
