Insomnia: The Ark
A new trailer for Insomnia: The Ark is here to give us another taste of what the world will be like in Insomnia: The Ark when it comes this year
Get ready for one more Sci-Fi dystopian landscape to come at us this year with Insomnia: The Ark. It has now been set that this Kickstarter funded title will now be hitting the PC later in 2018 once Studio Mono wraps up work on it all. That should be a given for the game as they are still working on it and we cannot really play it until they are done, but it felt like it needed to be stated again here. Nonetheless, Insomnia: The Ark is coming this year and we also have a nice new trailer to look at for this Sci-Fi RPG that gives us a better feel for the dystopian world that we are going to be stepping into here this year. At least if this game is in your area of interest.
It is hard to tell if all of this video is gameplay or it is peppered in, but it definitely looks and feels like Insomnia: The Ark is hitting that “dieselpunk” dystopia that could be out there. I usually think of something a bit different than that when it comes to that genre, but it works and it definitely looks like a dystopian world made by a Russian developer. I will say Insomnia: The Ark looks more in the utilitarian style of things than a dieselpunk, but I will take what I can to see another version of the end of times kind of story we seem to be getting here.
Have a look down below for what we have for Insomnia: The Ark here now and if it looks like it is something you are interested in know that there will be a beta for the game out there. Right now, there is one going on for those fans who backed the game during the Kickstarter phase of things but there is another one planned for this Summer that will open up to other gamers and not just those true fans. When and how to get in on that closed beta has yet to be defined, but I am sure we will get more of that once we get closer to the date. Until then just enjoy the videos that we do have.
Insomnia: The Ark — Dystopian World
Dystopian sci-fi RPG, Insomnia: The Ark, from publisher HeroCraft and developer Studio Mono, will release later in 2018. Today, a brand new trailer has been revealed, showcasing the game’s arresting dieselpunk world and the progress that has been made since its successful Kickstarter campaign.
The Russian publisher and developer also today launched an exclusive closed beta for Kickstarter backers, who helped the game raise almost $100,000 back in 2014. A larger closed beta is planned for later in the summer.
Insomnia: The Ark is a complex story-driven RPG that takes place on a colossal space metropolis brimming with the secrets of a long-gone civilization. The world is populated by the descents of a once powerful race called Nomah, who abandoned their home planet ablaze by war. Awakening in the adaptation chamber during your recovery from the Great Sleep, you learn of a large-scale terrorist attack. But as you will soon discover, the attack might be the least of your worries…
Develop your character, explore lovingly handcrafted locations, interact with peculiar NPCs and factions all in a rich and atmospheric universe.
Insomnia: The Ark will release for PC later in 2018.
How are you feeling about Insomnia: The Ark based on what we have here to see? Do you need more actual gameplay to make up your mind or have you already thrown money at the game to make sure you were good to go? Do you agree in the type of dystopian world we are looking at here or am I looking at the game through lenses that make it look less like a dieselpunk setting than it is? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If we get more for Insomnia: The Ark, we will have it here. Just be sure to keep checking back in on the site for all of that as it comes.
