Get To Know The Directors Old & New For Control

Control

The next developer diary for Control is here to walk us through both the new and old directors for the Federal Bureau of Control

We are back with yet another developer diary for Control here and this one takes a nice dive into the powers that were and will be in charge of the FBC in the game. We have already met one as that will be the main character we are playing as in the game, but until now we have only had a few short glimpses of what Remedy has set up as the former director of the organization. All with the dark and shadowy presence of the Cigarette Smoking Man from The X-Files. It makes perfect sense as Control does seem to follow along the same vein of content from that show and it is something we need to be ready for. Although I hope it stays hidden until 2019 when the game is still listed to be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

For full disclosure here, there is not much in the way of new footage of Control the game but there is a lot more with the voice actors for the game. Also how and why the team has gone the way they have for the director and actual protagonist we will be playing as. It does the job of making you question a few things in preparation for the game’s launch, but not much in the way of seeing or hearing what you will get for your money. Not the biggest of issues but it is not for everyone as it is more on the how the game was built instead of how the game actually plays. You have been informed thusly and you can check it out below. At least there is a nice little tease for more to actually come for Control in the near future.

Control — The Key Players: Directors Old & New

Control Dev Diary 5 talks about the old and new director of the FBC (Federal Bureau of Control) and how these characters differentiate from each other. Remedy‘s games have always been set in locations rich in character, and Control is no exception. Courtney Hope is Jesse Faden the new Director of the FBC and James McCaffrey, who plays Zachariah Trench, is the former one. You might recognize James McCaffrey as the voice of Max Payne, and now he’s back for Control!

What are your thoughts about the old director and how the torch is being passed in Control here? Do you see how it all mirrors The X-Files more and more or will it take a “hard left” soon and define something completely new? Do you think that the old director will be some kind of psychic guide in the final game or will it just be some basic story thing that keeps him around? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Control, be sure to keep coming back here. We will keep all of the news and updates coming for you and you will be glad you stuck close.
