MultiVersus
The next characters for MultiVersus are on the way with Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice joining the mix for MultiVersus
I hope you are ready to go further Back In Time with MultiVersus, as we have our next character on the way to the game now. Well, more two characters, but Player First Games is only dropping one on July 23rd and the other will be joining the DLC drop on and around September 6th. The one that is hitting MultiVersus as of tomorrow, is Samurai Jack from the cartoon of the same name. The latter one in the Ghost with the Most, Betelgeuse. Although, we only have a good look at the former now and a slight tease of the latter one to go one for now. A whole lot of fun and we can dig into some of that now before all of the other announcements yet to come out of SDCC this week too.
Samurai Jack will be the next in the line of Bruiser class of characters in MultiVersus and will bring all of that sword-swinging action into the mix. Along with all of the humor and darkness that surrounds the character from the show. Also, this character will be ushering in a new Ranked Mode for MultiVersus so now we can put our skills on display around the world. All via the 1v1 or 2v2 modes we have seen before. Just now there will be a leaderboard so you can show off your fancy footwork from the game a bit more to the world. Have a look and see how Jack will be offering up all of that fun and the slight tease of what is still to come with the other character.
MultiVersus — Character Gameplay: Samurai Jack
Warner Bros. Games announced that MultiVersus will be adding Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice to its growing roster of characters as part of Season 2: Back In Time. From the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim action-adventure animated series of the same name, the katana-wielding Samurai Jack will be available when MultiVersus Season 2 launches on July 23. The troublesome ghost Beetlejuice (a.k.a. Betelgeuse) will arrive later in the season, in advance of the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice sequel to Beetlejuice (1988), only in theaters on Sept. 6 in North America and beginning Sept. 4 internationally.
After being flung into the future by the evil demon Aku, the warrior known as Samurai Jack embarked on a relentless quest to return to the past. With his unmatched swordsmanship and incredible agility, he’s truly a force to be reckoned with, and in the new MultiVersus gameplay trailer, Samurai Jack’s fighting skills as a Bruiser class character are on full display, which utilizes his mystical katana blade, agile footwork, and quick reflexes to send opponents flying off the map. The video also provides a first look at the Righteous Warrior Jack character variant, which will be available for in-game purchase on July 23.
Additionally, Ranked mode will be added to MultiVersus at the start of Season 2 on July 23, giving players the opportunity to participate in 1 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 2 matches while competing for leaderboard points to earn exclusive rank-based cosmetic rewards. Season 2 will also include the Water Tower, a new map where players can battle on the iconic Warner Bros. Water Tower, with surprise nods to popular Warner Bros. Discovery characters and franchises.
Were you always hoping to see Samurai Jack in the fight of MultiVersus or is this an awesome surprise you did not fully expect to ever see? Will he flow better than the other Bruiser types in the game or will it just be a new look for a similar fighting style? How do you think Betelgeuse will function in the game and what class do you think he will be placed into? Drop all of those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss them all until the next big announcement. There will certainly be more for MultiVersus, and you can keep up on all of that by watching the site a bit more. Along with all of the other shenanigans we are about to get up to.
