Fallout: London
The massive Fallout 4 mod has a release date set down for us all to get ready to dive into what Fallout: London has to offer
Here we go with a bit of good and bad news when it comes to our games again, but now we have a look at the new release date set for Fallout: London. No, this is not a massive new title from Bethesda that flew under your radar, but a massive undertaking of an amazing and talented group of modders taking us to a new location in the Fallout 4 game. Not just with a few new flashy lights, bells, and whistles but something that could rival many of the other massive DLC drops for the title back when the main studio was still working on it. Sadly, it is only for the PC gamers out there but now they can look toward April 23rd, 2024, to get a slice of a new part of the world. Just in time for the new TV show to land out there too. Perfect timing.
To reiterate again, Fallout: London is not a DLC or expansion but a passion project that fans have wanted to place out there. The reason behind saying that again, is that when you see what is coming you might forget that. Given that we are getting over 200 new missions that have full voice acting, many new 3D and 2D assets to place us into a different part of the world, and some changed-up mechanics and perks to fit the new location better. We are no longer in North America for this Fallout, so it makes sense that they would need to go all out and they did. From recreating some of the most iconic locations from the area, offering up setting pieces that lend to it all, to also giving us a different dog companion to use along the way. Get ready to lose so many more hours experiencing a part of the world that is never seen in these games out there.
Fallout: London — Official Release Announcement
Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class-structured society of pre-war Britain.
Team FOLON operates as an independent entity responsible for the development of the Fallout: London mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4 game. We want to emphasize that Team FOLON is a separate legal entity from Bethesda, the publisher of Fallout 4.
Each time I see a new and massive mod like this for Fallout 4, I always kick myself for not diving into it all on the PC back in the day. I know I could get into it all now and experience not only what the core game has to offer up but all of the fan expansions too. In fact, Fallout: London does make me want to do that more since we have mostly been in the United States area of the world when the devastation would have been global. I understand that is just to stick to the iconic look and what the original developers wanted to go for, but this is an IP that could use some global looks to it. Not to mention, this is just a massive showing of what dedicated fans can do when they want to bring more of what they love to life. I hope they are not hit with any more delays and we can all be blasting up London when not watching the new show that is based in the U.S. once again.
How do you feel about all of these Fallout 4 mods and expansion that the fans are doing and should the publisher just start paying them to give the fans what they want? Would you like to see more of the world out there instead of just the U.S. in this IP or does the look and feel force us to stay they for the most part? Will the team keep adding to all of this in the future or will they move on to adding to a different location once this one is out there? Lock yourself into the vault of the comment section to discuss all of this and more. We have our eyes on Fallout: London and will try to update you all with what we can for it. Please keep on swinging by here of the main group handling all of this so you can stay as up-to-date as possible on all of it.
