Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

While confirming the release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami also has released a look at the collector’s edition and new details for the MGO mode we’ve seen in the past

Yesterday we had the “leaked” announcement of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s release date and to no big surprise it has been confirmed by Konami that it is going to be September 1st. That’s not why we are here though. What was further confirmed was that we are getting a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain collector’s edition for the game and it includes a replica of Snake’s mechanical arm. Now that is badass. At least if you are going to get The Phantom Pain on the PS4 or Xbox One. Those would be the only platforms listed to be getting this awesome collection.

Don’t fret if you are still looking to pick up The Phantom Pain on the PS3, 360, or PC though as there is a nice little addition that looks to be the standard although it is given a fancy name to make you all feel special too. That would be Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Day One edition for those nice enough not have scrolled down a bit for the spoiler there. Here is what each version of The Phantom Pain will include. Obviously any physical items will be limited to the physical version on said platform.

Of course this wouldn’t be all of the news we have for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. We all saw that gameplay for Metal Gear Online during the Video Game Awards last year. If not then this is where you luck out as we now have a better narrated version of the footage that shows off some of the cool things we will be able to do on day one when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches with MGO. For those who have already seen the footage it is worth noting that there is a bit more included and I think we will get another huge push during E3 this year. At least if we speculate on the ending of this video.

So there we have it. That is an awesome collector’s edition for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and I am already throwing my money at it. I mean who wouldn’t want a robotic arm to place on their desk? Am I right? Of course I am. Do you agree? Are you looking forward to it all? Sound off like you have a pair in the comments. That way we can also know who will be joining us on MGO this September…
