The Versus Tech Test for Gears Of War 5 kicks off this week with the latest mode, Arcade, getting the highlight for Gears Of War 5 today
If you are missing out on the big convention stuff going on this week, then you can at least take solace that you will be able to have some Gears Of War 5 fun that others may not get. That is, the Versus Tech Test is popping off on July 19th to let us play the game and help The Coalition make the multiplayer modes that much better at launch. The way all of these things normally go and just with Gears Of War 5 this time. All for the Xbox One and PC and running for a bit for those who are getting in. Hopefully, you are one of those people so you can try out the new mode that is coming in the way of Arcade Deathmatch. Something we get to see here.
The trailer below shows it off a bit, but the Gears Of War 5 Arcade Deathmatch mode looks to be the same as a normal one just with two teams aiming to get to 50 kills first. As their kill count goes up, so does the advancement of the weapons in use. That seems to be the big twist to make this something truly new for Gears Of War 5. At least as I see it. Have a look at the new mode just below and the other basics that you will need to know before it all pops off on July 19th Right in the middle of SDCC for those trying to keep track of it all.

We are excited to reveal your first look at Arcade, a brand new type of Versus experience for all types of players. This ultimate jump-in / jump-out mode brings hero characters, each with their own distinct abilities and weapon upgrades, to Gears Of War 5 Versus players.
Arcade Deathmatch is just the beginning, where two teams of five race to be first to 50 kills. This promises to be unlike any Gears Team Deathmatch you’ve ever played!
