Darksiders Warmastered Edition
The rumored remaster of Darksiders has now become a reality as the Darksiders Warmastered Edition is heading to current gen systems this October
If you were like me and questioning why we had the second Darksiders game remastered and no word on the first title, then you’ll be glad to see that we now have the answer. It looks like Nordic Games was having that one remastered as well by KAIKO and now we are on the verge of getting it. I am glad to say that we now have the Darksiders Warmastered Edition announced and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, or PC on October 25th of this year. Now we can play them in order instead of wondering things if we missed out the first time around.
I’ll admit it is odd to have them come out of order but I am glad to see the Darksiders Warmastered Edition coming. Not only coming but bringing the same upgrades that we were able to get in the other remaster released. That is pretty much what is coming here as there was no DLC for the game the first time around but now all of the textures have been doubled in size and they are boasting a 4K resolution running at 60 frames per second. It was something that made the last remaster feel like a new game and if they are able to do half the same here then we are all going to fall in love with the franchise yet again.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition Coming to Console Platforms and PC
Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.
Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.
Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.
- Apocalyptic Power – Unleash the wrath of War, combining brutal attacks and supernatural abilities to decimate all who stand in your way
- Extreme Arsenal – Wield a devastating arsenal of angelic, demonic and Earthlyweapons; and blaze a trail of destruction atop Ruin, War’s fiery phantom steed
- Epic Quest – Battle across the wastelands and demon-infested dungeons of the decimated Earth in your quest for vengeance and redemption
- Character Progression – Uncover powerful ancient relics, upgrade your weapons, unlock new abilities, and customize your gameplay style
- Battle Heaven and Hell – Battle against all who stand in your way – from war-weary angelic forces to Hell’s hideous demon hordes
Many have stated since this announcement that it is odd to keep seeing the remasters pumped out like the Darksiders Warmastered Edition here but no announcement of a full third addition to the franchise. If my thoughts are correct then this is just Nordic Games testing the waters further to see if there is still interest and also to get all of the new players up to speed. At least that is how I see this all playing out. I have a feeling if Darksiders 3 is on the way it will be shortly after seeing the numbers from the remaster sales and I think that looks good.
Are you shocked that the Darksiders Warmastered Edition has been announced now? Do you think that this will be a true precursor for a third title in the franchise? Have you had the pleasure of playing the game the first time around or will this be your first taste? Let us know and feel free to discuss it all down in the comments. As we get more on Darksiders in any form you can bet we will have it up here on the site. Be sure to stay right here so you don’t miss out on any of the news and updates.
