The Desolation Of Mordor Is Coming Soon To Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War

A new trailer for the next DLC for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is here and it shows us a bit more on how this will expand the story Shadow Of War has already given us

The story for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is getting further expanded here soon and we have our first look at the next DLC that is coming. Well, more of a Story Expansion than a DLC but it is what it is for now and Monolith Productions is wrapping it all up for us and putting a little Orc skull on it. It would seem like this would be the last of the Expansion Pass DLC for Shadow Of War as well, although there is always the chance of more. The Desolation Of Mordor just happens to be the latest and will pick up the story of Baranor and how he is going to tackle the latest in Orc threats. The title makes it sound like something very different if you ask me.

Anyways, that would be the basics of this new story bit for Shadow Of War. The expanded explanation is that this is the Captain of Minas Ithil that survived the Fallen City’s demise. As you will see in the following trailer for the DLC, he has found his brother Serka and the two must hire an army to take on that Orc threat I mentioned above. It is most likely going to be a lot more than that, but you can see what we all have so far just below. Hopefully it will make Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War a well-rounded title. Not that it has not been already that is.

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War — Desolation Of Mordor

Desolation Of Mordor Story Expansion

  • Play as Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil and survivor of the city’s demise, in a new story expansion where players will command the forces of Man against a new Orc threat to the East.
  • Unite with Torvin, the Dwarven Hunter, to craft powerful new combat gear, including the shield, gauntlet, chain and glider.
  • Hire mercenaries to create a human army and conquer the all new desert region of Lithlad.
  • Fight to survive in Mordor as a human without the power of a Ring or a wraith to cheat death in a new rogue-like campaign mode.
  • Unlockable Baranor character skin for the main story campaign.
  • Available May 18th 2018.

The Desolation Of Mordor is part of the Expansion Pass for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, so all you will need to do is wait until May 18th to download it if you have that pass. It is also part of the Story Expansion Pass that will run you $24.99 USD if you do not care about the Full Expansion Pass. Alternatively, you can also pick up the story expansion all by itself for $19.99 USD if this was the only bit that caught your eye for Shadow Of War‘s DLC. So many options to pick it up and so little time before it launches. Just the way we should all love it.

Will you be picking up this Story Expansion for Shadow Of War or will you be skipping it? How do you think it will all play on the grander scale or will it be a small isolated thing so players who did not want it will not miss out on much? Do you think this will truly be the end of all of the DLC for the game or will Monolith Productions crank out a bit more if these all sell well? Let us and the world know what you are thinking down in the comments and then discuss. If there is more to share for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, we will share it here on the site. Just be sure to keep coming back so you can see it all.
