V Rising
A bit more gameplay for V Rising is out there to show off how the Castlevania content will function in V Rising
With the upcoming Castlevania update coming to V Rising when it launches fully on the PC and PS5, many are wondering how it is going to look and function in the game. We have seen a little bit of a tease before now with Stunlock Studios offering up a few little looks. Well, today, we have a nice long look at how all of this will look in V Rising and how we will be fighting Simon Belmont out there in the world. Get ready for some gameplay and then a little bit of a wait until May 8th comes and we can actually experience all of this for ourselves. It is time to face that fury out there.
For the most part, all of this looks like it is just going to be a massive skin that falls over the world of V Rising. Outside of the new hunter to fight out there, that is. Not a terrible thing but not something that might get many other gamers deeper into the world of Castlevania out there. It is fun to see Dracula running around and shapeshifting as we would expect and Simon does look rather imposing in this new footage. So, there is all of that to get excited over out there. It is just worth tempering those hopes when looking at this addition to V Rising when the tease led a few to think something else was on the way. Have a look for yourself and see just how things are about to shake out here.
V Rising — Legacy Of Castlevania Gameplay
Legacy Of Castlevania comes to V Rising on May 8th!
Famed vampire hunter Simon Belmont is infiltrating V Rising to challenge all of Vampire kind. Wielding his legendary whip and an infamous arsenal of holy weaponry, no night stalker will be safe from his righteous crusade through Vardoran. Defeat him and unlock the secrets of his iconic weapon, offering new combat abilities that embody the grace and precision of a deadly Vampire!
While Legacy Of Castlevania, including Simon Belmont and the new weapon, will come as free content, vampire enthusiasts will be able to purchase the Legacy Of Castlevania Premium Pack cosmetic DLC, allowing players to construct their own castles inspired by Castlevania’s classic gothic aesthetic. Decorate your opulent lair, enjoy character customization options inspired by classic Castlevania characters, and spread terror with your spooky skeletal mount. You can even set the tone in your ominous abode with two classic Castlevania themes reimagined by V Rising composer Aleksandria Migova.
This is weirdly a mix of what I expected as well as something I was not fully expecting for V Rising. I fully thought all of this was just going to be a cosmetic slap on top of everything to allow players to have that little taste and Konami to claim they put something for the IP out there. The look and feel of Simon, though, makes it feel as if that is a whole new design and hunter to face off with. Along with all of the fun dialogue and actions in the mix of things out there that feel new. I am not fully engrossed in everything V Rising as of yet, so I might be wrong, but it does feel as if we are getting a solid mix of things out there. I am always glad to see all of that and whatever else the teams might be cobbling together for us out there.
Is this about what you were expecting for V Rising out there or is this something vastly different for you? How deep will the looks and changes go in the game and will there be more hidden things than just the cosmetics of it all? What other Vampire IP would you want to see in the mix here or should this try to stand out on its own more than anything? Head down to the comments to discuss it all. We will keep the updates flowing for V Rising as best we can, so please keep on checking in for those updates and the many others we have in the works out there.
