Have a look at The Surge’s next big DLC to come that shows off just what would happen in an amusement park after events for The Surge occur
Attention all of you gluttons for punishment. It looks like the next big DLC for The Surge is almost here and now we have a fun tease to see what it will most likely hold within. A safe guess would be that Deck 13 has added a lot more in the way of deadly robots out there trying to kill us non-stop, but if you are not a guessing human you will be happy to see that there is a bit more than that. Of course, Focus Home Interactive has dropped a new teaser for this DLC for The Surge called A Walk In The Park so there will not be much in the way of speculation as to what we will have to face off with. Although, spoilers, there will be a lot more deadly robots…
This new DLC for The Surge is dropping on December 5th and will bring a whole new area for us to explore as well as sixteen new weapons, new sets of armor, new implants, and a new boss to fight. All of which is set up in a huge amusement park that CREO once had set up for its employees to enjoy, but after the titular Surge, CREO World has fallen to the same state as everything else has in the game. Not the biggest of shocks there as it would be odd if it was just a fun place to run around with your rig and win stuffed animals while munching on cotton candy. That would be a bit out of place for it all, but still, something that could be thought up if you did not know more about the core game.
The Surge — A Walk In The Park
The Surge brought players deep into the high-tech CREO industrial complex, overrun by deadly machines, rogue AI, and deranged exoskeleton workers. A Walk In The Park gives players a breath of fresh air by taking them to an environment that’s more open and colorful, though no less deadly. CREO World is an amusement park built by CREO for its employees and their families. Forget your cravings for cotton candy — CREO World was not spared from The Surge. The entire park is a deadly trap, where roaming rescue teams have gone insane and robotic mascots patrol freely, patiently waiting for new visitors to offer a deadly welcome.
CREO World presents a wealth of fresh challenges for players. Originally created to celebrate CREO and its mission, the park is a radically different setting from the rest of the complex, full of branching paths and secrets to discover. Survive the raging mascots and explore the park’s attractions, before taking on a fearsome boss in the devastated park. Through technical and spectacular fights, you will face this new threat, cutting and equipping 16 all-new weapons, sets of armor, and new implants to upgrade and further customize the way you want to play.
In addition to this new DLC, it looks like a new edition for The Surge is also on its way out there from Deck 13 that is being called the Complete Edition. If you cannot figure out what that is, it is an edition that houses the core game and all of the DLC to come for it including A Walk In The Park. Why this was not something that came originally when the game launched back in May is kind of mystery, but if you missed out before and wanted to make sure you had all of The Surge you now have the option. Most likely to hone in on all of those gift cards that will be coming down the pipes when all of the holidays come and go. Maybe that is why.
Are you jacked to see The Surge get a full expansion or are you still trying to survive through the core game to its completion still? Would you have liked to see more of the amusement park rides and games to be part of it all or is just having the new setting enough for you? Did you skip out on the game back in May and are now looking to pick up the complete edition once it drops? Give us all those thoughts and answers down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As we learn more for The Surge, we will have it all here. Keep coming back to the site so you can learn everything that we can get out to you.
