007 First Light
The launch for 007 First Light is almost here, and we have one last video for 007 First Light just ahead of the launch
We’re almost there, with the launch of 007 First Light kicking off on May 27th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. This shouldn’t be anything new for us all, as IO Interactive has given that date to us many times. I’m just here to remind you that the launch of 007 First Light is now only days away. Not only to remind you, but also to make sure you can see the last big push for us all to snag the game or its collector’s edition before the date. That’s right, we’re here to show off the launch trailer and see what other little extra bits we can pick up before we head out there to Earn The Number. These are still the early days of Bond, after all.
All in all, the final video we have for 007 First Light doesn’t show off much that we haven’t seen before and is just a reminder that the game is still coming to us. That’s a good thing and a bad thing, since it doesn’t spoil anything in the game, but it really doesn’t do much to sell the game further. It is a game about the early days of James Bond and uses a similar gameplay loop as the recent Hitman games, so that should be a good selling point for 007 First Light. At least that should be for most when it comes to this IP and playing out someone’s origins. Have a look at the video just a bit lower, and see if it will sway you further to pick up the golden gun, or just let you know that you will be able to play the game in just a few more days. Sadly, not over the longer holiday weekend we’re about to have in the States.
007 First Light — Launch Trailer
A James Bond re-imagined origin story begins on May 27, 2026.
Are you ready to go on this globetrotting adventure and Earn The Number?
007 First Light puts creativity front and center through IO Interactive’s Creative Approach gameplay, following Bond across exotic but dangerous locations as he enters the world of espionage. Players can tackle objectives through stealth, direct action, or a mix of both, powered by four gameplay systems:
- Spycraft that rewards observation: eavesdropping on key conversations, pickpocketing vital items, and uncovering environmental clues to open new pathways.
- Bond’s Instinct gives players a versatile edge to lure enemies, bluff their way out of suspicion, or sharpen focus for precision in combat.
- Q Branch gadgets expand tactical options for hacking, lock cutting, distractions, elimination, and quiet takedowns.
- When stealth breaks, combat is fast and fluid, blending impactful close-quarters takedowns with ranged gunplay and an escalation that reflects Bond’s measured use of force, up to his Licence to Kill.
Are you ready to earn that number in 007 First Light? Did you want to see more of the game before now, or have we had enough to whet that whistle for the game? Will you be getting the golden gun version of the game? How long will it take players to burn through this game and be left wanting more? Let’s hear it all out in the comment section down the page here. If we have more for 007 First Light, we’ll certainly share it on the site and all of our socials. Please follow along with all of them to make sure you don’t miss out on any of that, or any of the other fun updates we have coming up for you. There are still so many more to go in the year.
