A New Local Tale Is Told For Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village

There is more to see for Resident Evil Village as we see how things have progressed for everyone since Resident Evil 7

We have a new trailer to look at for Resident Evil Village to look at here, and it looks to offer up just a little more on what is going on in the game. Granted, not much more as there is a lot of the same snow-covered ground and shots of said village to look at, but it is more and we will take it. Even if it would be nice to have a nice slice of gameplay from Capcom from a working version to help show off the new monsters we are getting in this run. They are not the normal zombies that Resident Evil offers up and not werewolves that were rumored for so long. It would just be nice to get a little more for it than some fancy shots and word that it is still coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC next year.

What we do get here is a bit on where the characters from Resident Evil 7 have ended up and one more shot at Chris in the mix of it all. All before getting whisked away to the titular village in the mix of some new animations telling a local story. Having seen early versions of these scenes before, it is nice to see that they are getting animated instead of animatics with a bit of voice over. I will not go into much more on that for now, but from there we get one more look at some of the patrons in the village and a medicine woman of sorts. Least of all to point out that we are seeing the return of the mysterious vendor from Resident Evil 4 here again. My guess is to give us the same excuse why we are able to buy upgrades and ammo along the way again.

Resident Evil Village — 2nd Trailer

Making its debut at PlayStation 5 Showcase, a new trailer for Resident Evil Village has been released! Hit the jump to see what’s in store for Ethan as he explores a snow-covered village nestled among ice-capped mountains.

Prior to the events of Resident Evil Village, Ethan Winters received a mysterious email from Mia, his wife, who had been missing for a few years. Without the slightest hint of hesitation, Ethan made his way to Dulvey, Louisiana to search for Mia’s whereabouts… and was led straight to the mansion of the twisted Baker family as a result. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard set the stage for a new generation of survival horror as seen directly through Ethan’s eyes, making the struggle for survival through a house of nightmares that much more personal. While Ethan and Mia were ultimately able to escape and create a new, peaceful life together, a new tragedy is about to unfold… one that will take a distraught Ethan to a mystifying village in search of answers to painful questions.

While the village itself may look pristine from all the freshly fallen snow, disturbing events are happening just out of sight. Flickering movements catch the corners of Ethan’s eyes, while strange shapes loom on the horizon. It’s among the dilapidated sheds and houses that he may find his answers… or he may find something far more sinister. Strange creatures, odd symbols, and an unusual fairy tale all come together with the power of the RE Engine in the latest trailer to make Resident Evil Village a true showcase of next-generation survival horror.
