A Plague Tale: Innocence Now Has A Release Date To Survive To

A Plague Tale: Innocence

The release date for A Plague Tale: Innocence is set and with it comes a new behind the scene video showcasing even more of A Plague Tale than before

It has been a fun and long trailer with A Plague Tale: Innocence as we have been following along and now we have an end in sight for when we will actually get to play the game. Yes, it looks like Asobo Studio is ready to give us a release date for the game and now it is set for May 14th. Now you know when this dark action/puzzle game will be hitting your PS4, Xbox One, and PC so you can plan accordingly. You have been informed thusly so do not say you were not ready to enjoy A Plague Tale when the time comes. Now we just need to dig in and get to know how things have evolved since announcement.

That is where the need web series is going to come in as the first episode has kicked off with this new announcement. You can view it all below, but this one takes us through a bit of the character design choices for A Plague Tale as well as gives us a look at how they were voiced. Actual kid actors were used here and not just adults trying to pass off as kids. All of that and some new gameplay looks to go along with it to show off the different sling ammo we will have in A Plague Tale and just how it will all be crafted and learned. Interestingly more so, all of it will be through kids in the game that have banned together instead of a looming adult telling them. Kind of a cool choice to go with here in my opinion.

A Plague Tale: Innocence — Roots Of Innocence

A Plague Tale: Innocence is the new own-IP title from Asobo Studio, with a newly-announced release date of May 14, 2019. Asobo are game development veterans who have honed their craft on some of the industry’s biggest projects, and now forge new ground with their own original story of Amicia, Hugo, and the Black Death. Focus Home Interactive will highlight the work of this incredible French team in a new behind-the-scenes web series Roots of Innocence.

The first episode focuses on Amicia and Hugo, the two main characters of A Plague Tale: Innocence, and their relationship. These children encounter 14th century France in a similar way to the player, an unknown and dangerous place that they barely understand but must survive. As the realities of the world of adults press down on them, their familial love will be tested as they work together to overcome challenges from the rat plague and pursuing Inquisition alike.

This episode also introduces you to Charlotte McBurney and Logan Hannan, the young actors who provide voices for Amicia and Hugo. Both are immensely talented and have their own approach to and opinions of these realistic, troubled characters. As your constant companions through the adventure, their work is as vital as anyone’s to creating a moving, emotional experience that will stick with you long past the first playthrough.

Does this new release date fall in line for your hopes and want for A Plague Tale: Innocence or will it be crammed next to way too many other games during the time? Do you like the choice to go with the allies of the protagonist be children too or will it seem a bit off given the level of knowledge they should have? Are you glad to see that we will have some actual children voicing the characters here with their nuance or did you want more adults playing pretend? Let us know in the comments and discuss. As more for A Plague Tale: Innocence is released out there, we will update you here. Just keep checking in on the site to stay as up to date as possible.
