Rock Band 4
Another, yet more detailed, look at the Rock Band 4 controllers that we will need to truly shine in Rock Band 4
Next week a lot of us, media and fans alike, are going to get to get our hands on Rock Band 4 and give the game a good play through at E3. In this case it won’t be only the game but also the new controllers being made just for Rock Band 4 by Mad Catz. Something that also needs to be impressive to be able to show off all of the work that Harmonix has put into the game thus far and moving forward. We’ve had looks in that past at all of them but it was more glitz and glamour as to what to expect for the Rock Band 4 hardware but some people like me want to know more than just “the buttons are quieter” when it comes to the controllers.
Thankfully all of us won’t have to wait until next week to get the intimate details on the Rock Band 4 controllers as Mad Catz has shown off, at least the PS4 versions, all of the nitty gritty on them. Like the fact that the latency for the new drums has been reduced immensely given the new designs. Or the fact that you can use the old Rock Band cymbals with the new Rock Band 4 drums. Then there is also the same deal that the new accelerometer to go into overdrive with the guitars is now digital and claims to never fail. That alone is going to be worth the new price of admission for Rock Band 4 that we will have coming here soon.
I’ll warn you before you dig into the following video and the Rock Band 4 controller breakdowns; don’t look for anything but the hardware updates here. This is all about the Rock Band 4 hardware and we are going to have to truly wait until next week to see how they all integrate together to make one godly of a gaming experience. It is a tried and true model but Harmonix is still going up against Guitar Hero Live this year and that means that things need to be as flawless as possible when it comes to Rock Band 4.
