Achilles: Legends Untold
An Early Access for Achilles: Legends Untold is now set for us so we can take on the role of Achilles for another story
The myth and legend continues to go on and we can join in once again with Achilles: Legends Untold as it hits the PC with an Early Access form here soon. How soon? Well, that would be on May 12th for those that want to give the hero one more go and see the untold stories that Dark Point Games has crafted for us all. Not that Achilles did not already have a whole lot of interesting and grim stories going on before the big famous one that everyone knows up to now. Hells, some of you might not know any of that or the works of Homer, so this could be a fun way to get started and see how it could grow into another massive Souls-like title out there; with a little Diablo sprinkled in for good measure too.
If this is the first you have heard about Achilles: Legends Untold, then let us dig in a bit before you get ready for the fight next month. In this title, it looks like the story will pick up after the hero’s death and Hades needs him to head out and face off with Ares. Achilles is then set forth out there in an isometric action style of a game where we will be facing off with other mythological beings and creatures to build ourselves up and get us ready for the final battle. All while the game itself learns and changes to our style so we have the best gameplay experience while trying to get a fun new story. My guess is that we are going to die a whole lot out there and this is why some of the other literary and game design choices have been made.

⚔️ Coming to Steam Early Access on May 12, 2022! ⚔️
Achilles: Legends Untold is an isometric action-RPG, greatly inspired by the souls-like genre and old-school hack & slash games. Players will have to rely on Achilles’ raw power to overcome legendary characters and creatures from Homer’s Iliad while taking in Ancient Greece through rich lore and environmental storytelling as they make their way to the gates of Troy and beyond.
As the studio wanted to create an easy-to-learn-but-hard-to-master-experience, the combat is designed with souls-like tactics in mind, without letting it become a barrier to newer players. This way, Achilles: Legends Untold may be enjoyed by Souls veterans and new players alike.
For those who prefer fighting side-by-side with friends, the game also provides a robust co-op experience with procedurally generated dungeons to explore, allowing you and your friends to hone their skills even further.
The gameplay features satisfying and skill-based combat, RPG elements, and resource management. Collect raw materials to forge new deadly weapons and sturdy shields to take Achilles to the peak of his power. Become stronger and more ferocious with each ability you unlock and adapt to new challenges in the world, as Achilles is not the only one picking up new tricks along the way.
Achilles: Legends Untold features the innovative GAIA system, which means the AI characters’ actions feel lifelike and work together in unpredictable ways. Experience immersive battles in which monsters adapt to your playstyle, try different strategies, or create ambush scenarios, all driven by this contemporary, in-house-designed system.
Did we all need more to the story of Achilles or is this just the prophecy continuing out of the myth? How well do you think the AI will adapt to us and will it keep things fresh or just make it frustrating to try to complete? Why do you think Hades and Ares are facing off and will it be something other than the Christain mythology slant the characters normally get? Tell us all down in the comments what you are thinking and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. If we have more to share for Achilles: Legends Untold, know that we will share it all here. Just keep checking back for all of that and much, much more.
