Another Claustrophobic Horror Title Is Coming In The Way Of Lithium: Inmate 39

Lithium: Inmate 39

A new horror title, Lithium: Inmate 39, has been announced and looks to bring a new puzzle horror title to us so we may need a dose of Lithium to get back to normal

It’s time to add another horror title to the list as Lithium: Inmate 39 has been announced and heading to the PC, PS4, and PS Vita at some point soon. This would be the first console title developed by CanuArts and they are looking to bring some insanity to life with this little title. Insanity in the way that Lithium takes place in an asylum where the titular patient is taking the journey to get past all of the madness and figure out who they used to be. In this case it is a humanoid lemur who looks a lot like Dobby from Harry Potter.

In Lithium we are going to see a whole lot of weird creatures and horrors trying to stop us on the journey even though it is all in the mind of Inmate 39. Or at least 39’s view of the world and the people in it. I am a bit curious to know what part of the world spinning walls of death and spike drops could be but I guess that could be explained when we all actually play through the game. I have a feeling that it won’t be detailed out much but we all could be pleasantly surprised. At least we can hope in this world of horror.

Lithium: Inmate 39 — Gameplay Trailer

Lithium: Inmate 39 also looks to bring back some of the claustrophobic aspects of horror games passed as you could see in the above trailer for the game. It looks like CanuArts loved that fixed camera part of a lot of other titles and is aiming to bring it back here. As Lithium kind of looks like a platformer set in a horror world I am a bit pessimistic that will work out in terms of gameplay but maybe those portions will not have the fixed camera and it will only be the long hallways of doom. That is what I loved about the RE titles.

What are your thoughts on Lithium: Inmate 39 after seeing its announcement? Does it look like it could ring the horror back as the developer is looking to do or will it be another platforming title for the grinder? What are your thoughts on the skewed world of horror that Inmate 39 will be seeing? Let us know in the comments below and discuss away. For more on Lithium and other titles like it be sure to stay right here for more as we will bring you every bit that we can as time goes on.
