Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3
With a recent Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 update it looks like a viral campaign for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 could be on the way
A bit of new viral marketing out now may be pointing that Activision and Treyarch may be working on Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 for this year’s release. This one has quite a bit of back story and digging around to get the ball rolling but there is definitely something brewing here. In fact this all started with the most recent update for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 where a YouTube streamer happened upon a few updated materials in the game that had a SnapChat QR code pasted over the original image. Using said QR code takes you to the befriending page for the Call Of Duty SnapChat account which is where some people thought it would end.
You can see where and how these where found in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 in the following video. Then we dig in more for the possibility of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 — Viral Campaign
So now that we have a look at what was updated in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 and you most likely followed the code; let us get you fully up to speed. So before all of this the account didn’t have anything on it. Almost like it was in preparation of some huge thing in the coming months leading to E3. Then the updates happened and things are just as odd and cryptic as ever. In fact as of the writing of this there have been two videos sent out to all of the followers there that have a very Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 feel to them. Have a look and judge for yourself.

All of this does have a real Call Of Duty: Black Ops feel to it if I do say so. All of the mind games and programming seem to be coming back out in the new little tastes; at least that is how I am seeing it. I know I would love to see Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 be this year’s new title from the studio and developer as I loved that last two very much. Even if we stripped it all down to story and no gameplay I would have to say that the Black Ops bit has been some of my favorite in the series.
What do you think though? Does this pave the way for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3? Could this be a tricky campaign to show off a different version of Call Of Duty? Do you hate all these viral campaigns that start up about this time every year? Let us know down in the comments and let’s figure all this out.
