Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace Gears Up As The Madness Begins

Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace

Gameplay for Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace is out there now to show us the turn-based system this Arkham Horror title will have with the madness it holds

There sure have been a whole lot of Lovecraftian games out there in the recent years and it keeps piling up with the next one in Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace. It looks as if Asmodee Digital is adding to the list of it all with their next title and giving us more of a turn-based investigation game closer to the tabletop title that others have. A nice little twist for fans of the Arkham Horror games, as this one will be pulling in the characters and settings from them. All of which is on top of the other elements from the stories and lore that are out there in other forms. Now we just get to kind of see how it will all work when it comes to our controllers and keyboards.

In the following video, we have a look at the 12 protagonists we might know from the Arkham Horror games as they head out into the 1920s setting with all of the mystery within. There is a bit of the combat seen here but not much on how the movement will be working. Given the fact that we will see the characters in grids, it feels like it will be set up as similar titles have been in the past. There is also mention of the iconic Sanity System that the Arkham Horror games are known for too, but there is not much in the way of how it will be implemented here. My guess is that it will affect behind-the-scenes stats as it can be hard to get characters to portray things correctly in the video game setting. I do hope that we do not have to wait too long to get all of that set out there though.
