Artyom’s Nightmare Comes To The Forefront For Metro Exodus

A new look at Metro Exodus is here to give us a feel for what is going on in Artyom’s head as well as a look at the shotguns of Metro Exodus

In slightly over a week from now we will be thumbs deep in Metro Exodus and I for one am excited for that. I have enjoyed what we have had from 4A Games so far for the game and to see just how shifting into an open-world structure will help the narrative and gameplay in general. Given that Metro has always been a story heavy experience, this could be a difficult challenge as gamers do not always follow the core path to get the story as written. Especially when it looks like it will be taking its toll on Artyom here based on the latest video we have for the game.

Before you get too excited, it looks like this is only a CG trailer for Metro Exodus to give us a sense of what is going on inside Artyom’s head and not what is actually going to be seen in the final build. We always seem to get that here from Deep Silver before any of their titles launch and this one is no exception. It is interesting to note that we do get to see the weather system of Metro Exodus in play here as Artyom cycles through different forms of his “nightmare” here. This could mean that we are going to see something deeper for the character in the game here, but I will venture a guess that it is all marketing for now.

While these trailers are nice and can be fun, it is also nice to have some actual gameplay or mechanics to go with all of the hype videos. This is why I have also included the latest in the weapon class videos that hit for Metro Exodus as well. This one coving more of the Shotguns we will get to use and customize in the game. From single barrel to a quad-barrel for the basics and then all the way up to something that looks like an assault rifle that fires shotgun ammo. Why anyone would need that level of power is beyond me, but I am guessing we will see it needed in Metro Exodus at some point. If not it would be odd for 4A Games to mix it in.

Does this new CG trailer spark anything for you in terms of the story for Metro Exodus as we know it or will it just be another piece of marketing we will forget once February 15^th hits?
