INDIKA
INDIKA has some new gameplay to look at as well as a demo for those who want to give INDIKA a try right now
Video games are great and let us all play out different walks of life, and with INDIKA we are going to be getting one that many might not have thought about going down. This would be the next title coming out to us from Odd Meter and 11 Bit Studios for the PC later this year. A title that looks to give us all some adventure, interesting gameplay, and a life in a monastery as a nun. A life that INDIKA also shows to be a little darker than one would think along with something even darker lurking behind it all. Yes, this all took a bit of a twist, but on the plus side, those who have had their interests piqued can also give the game a solid play with a demo out for the Steam Next Fest right now and until February 12th.
In this game, we play as a nun named INDIKA in an alternate 19
INDIKA — Gameplay
A monastery may not be the first place that pops into your head when you think of the word adventure, but INDIKA’s mind-bending, faith-testing gameplay is seeking to change that. Available now as part of Steam Next Fest, you can get your first taste of the bizarre journey of self-discovery that every young nun living in an alternate version of the late 19th century goes through. While such a journey can be isolating, you’ll thankfully be joined by a very special companion who knows their way around the religious block: the devil himself!
Ask and you shall be deceived.

The setting of 19
All in all, INDIKA does sound like it might be offering up a weird slice of life out there, but it feels like there is going to be something vastly different at the end of it all. With how the main character seems to be presented, some of the weirdness in the world, and then the UI to go on top of it, I would not be surprised if this all ends up being some kind of fantasy of someone else in the game world. At least as far as the story goes. For the gameplay of INDIKA, based on all of this, it looks like a basic survival game that will be using the setting and story to be the bigger selling point. Unless wandering about the snow, moving a ladder to enter buildings, and then being attacked by a massive wolf is anything new to you in your gaming world.
What thoughts do you have for INDIKA and do you like the idea behind what you are going to get to play out there? Do you suspect that there is much more going on in the character’s head or is it all just a fun UI to punch up the gloomy visuals? Do you play video games to get these kinds of experiences from other walks of life or are they just background to the rest of it all instead? Wander on into the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have to share with you out there. We are going to have eyes on INDIKA moving forward, so do expect there to be more updates for this one. You only need to come back to the site to be able to keep up to date on all of it.
