Assassin's Creed Rogue
Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Rogue today with a CG trailer and a few interesting details
A little while back it was rumored that Assassin’s Creed Rogue was going to be the last of the franchise on the “last gen” consoles. Well at least that was all based on an online gaming store’s slip of showing the pre-order a bit early. There wasn’t much to go on besides that and I let it pass as just another small tease that would lead nowhere. Looks like I was wrong as Ubisoft has now fully announced Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Fully announced with a CGI trailer, seen below, and some interesting details that will have Assassin’s Creed Rogue linking the last two AC games to Assassin’s Creed Unity and all thing in-between.
Looks like we will be playing as Shay Patrick Cormac in the 18th century in Assassin’s Creed Rogue. After things went bad during a mission for the Assassin’s he decided to leave the order for a “normal life.” They didn’t take kindly to that and put a hit out on Shay only with him surviving the attempt on his life and going a rampage of vengeance. In turn, going ‘rouge’ and joining the Templars in their hunt to take down the order of Assassin’s. All during the Seven Year War in North America. Also bridging the gap between Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and undoubtedly adding in Assassin’s Creed Unity to round out the universe and story.
As of right now, Assassin’s Creed Rogue also claims to have naval gameplay with new events on the high seas while Shay sails The Morrigan. There is also the promise of completely new weapons for Shay and a trip that will take us through the arctic North Atlantic Ocean, the Appalachian River Valley, and a bustling New York City to kill all those assassin’s for the Templar. Sounds like Assassin’s Creed Rogue is going to hold up to the name quite a bit there.
Outside of that and the following announcement trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue all we have to go on now is that it is releasing on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 11th. There is also a pre-order mission, The Siege Of Fort De Sable, for those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Rogue before that date but there is no word on if that is a retailer specific DLC pack or just a general one. I’ll shut up now and let you watch the full announcement trailer. I’m so glad that we will finally get to play on the other team in full capacity.
