Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Is Housing More Assassin’s Than We Know

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

The first video of a new segment in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate shows off one of the larger secrets not talked about before Assassin’s Creed Syndicate released

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate hasn’t even been out for over a week yet and someone has already found an amazing little extra that had not been spoken of or even rumored until now. Looks like Ubisoft can keep some good secrets for themselves and give us all a truly great experience in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate without hammering it all in the marketing. I won’t go into much more detail for now as this is quite a spoiler for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate so this would be your chance to move along so as not to spoil a thing. Your first warning is here…

I’ll follow it up with yet another warning that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate spoilers are ahead so don’t scroll any lower or click play on the video unless you have made it past the fifth segment of the game or don’t want a thing spoiled for you. Last chance to turn back as there will not be any more spoiler warnings for this Assassin’s Creed Syndicate tidbit.

SPOILERS AHEAD…

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate — The Darkest Hour

If you’ve made it this far and have not yet clicked play on the above video for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate then let’s get into it.

It looks like there was even more hidden in the game by Ubisoft than many had thought before. In this case it looks like there is a whole new assassin in the mix and a whole other playable area to expand the story even more so. All of which in the same vein of what happened in Assassin’s Creed Unity and the time travel portion that placed us in WW2 Paris. This time it is in WW1 London and it is a lot more than just a quick little segment that will not leave us all cursing Ubisoft for just teasing it in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

In this segment, titled The Darkest Hour, we get to take control of Lydia Frye as she aids Winston Churchill in some of the behind the scenes actions of the war. Presumably this is the off spring of one of the two protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate; most likely Jacob given the naming conventions of the time but weirder things have happened and she could be straight from Evie. None the less we get to take control of Lydia as she murders and steals her way through the war-torn streets of London in this mission. Along with some really fun and interesting dialog in the mix.

This segment of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate looks to be something on the grander scale too as there is a whole rather large area for Lydia to run and play in as well as her own collectible items in the mix. Way more than we were allowed to play with in Unity. Not only that but it looks like there is more than just this one mission planned or hidden in the game given some of the narrative direction that we should keep “following Lydia” to uncover more. Could this be the buildup for some Assassin’s Creed Syndicate DLC given there being a game hidden in the game? Maybe…

If you own Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and want to take part in this fun extra segment then all you have to do is progress through the story until after the fifth segment. Then head to the very edge of the Thames River in the game and look out for the weird portal granting you access to this extra memory in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Since you’ve made it this far in you won’t worry about the spoilers in the above video to see exactly where on the map just in case you can’t seem to find it by word description.

What are your thoughts on this extra assassin and memory in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate? How hard do you think it was for Ubisoft to keep this secret until the game launched? Do you see this building to more DLC for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate or do you see it possibly going down the path of Assassin’s Creed II and all of the spin offs that game received? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. If there are any new updates and announcements for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate we will have them all here for you so be sure to keep checking back for all of those.
