Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Is Introducing Us All To Some Mythology

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

More mythology is coming to us with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and we have a new video to give us a feel for what is getting added to Assassin’s Creed

It is no surprise at all that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to dig into the Norse mythology as it has over the last few titles that have been out there. It is kind of one of the things that hyped up many gamers out there when Ubisoft made the official announcement that the game was coming. Thankfully, after the years of changes to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, it is going to show the historical side as well as the fun gameplay side. That is at least if we get to still take on some of their mythological beasts and possible gods during the “glitches” in the system. I am sure that will happen even if it has not been fully confirmed yet.

Sadly, those aspects are not what we have highlighted here as it is more along the lines of how the world is transitioning from Norse and “Pagan” beliefs to the Christian stranglehold we have now. The following trailer goes into more of the beliefs structure and beliefs of the Vikings we will see all while focusing on the big names we generally know. Odin, Loki, and Freya are the ones highlighted here but I do hope that we will see more of the more obscure or lesser-known deities in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as we play through it all. I am interested to see why Thor was not directly mentioned or highlighted due to the popularity out there.

Do you go into the Assassin’s Creed titles for the mythology and ancient religion aspects or is that all a side thing for you? Do you want to take on ancient beings and god-like Fenris or do you want those events to fade out of the franchise again? Do you think this will continue into other titles or will we see some interesting twists on the Christian Mythology moving forward? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. When we have more to share for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we will share it all here. Be sure to keep coming back for that and much, much more.
