We are only a few days out from the mysteries that Cthulhu: #TheCosmicAbyss, so let us try to dive into some of them. Well, not exactly. More like Big Bad Wolf is here to take us all for a little swim into the world to look at some of the things that the game will take us through when it hits the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, and #PC on April 16th. Only a few more days to get excited for this narrative detective game set in the Cthulhu mythos. Well, more using the mythos, as we are still in the future with a powerful AI companion and heading into an underwater facility to figure some of this madness out.

The release of Mouse: P.I. For Hire is almost here, with the #Mouse detective on the case in only a few more days

It looks as if the dates have shifted and now we are well on the way to seeing #MousePIForHire on the #PS5, #XboxSeriesX|S, #Switch2, and #PC. Well, in a few more days from now, as Fumi Games puts the last little touches on the rubber hose animated video game. One that feels like it was announced so very long ago, but we are in the endgame for the release. Especially as it looks like Mouse: P.I. For Hire is about to launch fully on April 16th. So, get your detective hats ready and your long coat from the cleaners, as we are about to wander into this interesting-looking first-person shooter in a cartoony world. I am so ready for this launch out there.

 

The Sand Is Moving As The Camel Joins The Menagerie Of Zoochosis

A new animal is out there in Zoochosis, with the camel adding in more for us to fear as we work the darkness in #Zoochosis

The number of animals we need to take care of in Zoochosis just keeps on expanding, as now we have a camel to add into the mix of things. By take care of, I mean it in both ways that Clapperheads has been pushing at us since the game first hit the #PC, then the #PS5 and #XboxSeriesX|S. Yes, that is a little dark, but that is the kind of game that Zoochosis, as these fun animals do turn into nightmare creatures if things get all wonky out there. With this new update that we have, we are heading into some new desert lands to help out the camels. Although that is not the only thing getting updated here. There are a few other fun things that the team has dropped out there for those who are still engaged in the title.

 

Invincible VS Is Opening Things Up With The New Beta Kicking Off

Just ahead of the Invincible VS beta, we have a new look at just what parts of #InvincibleVS we will get to play

The beta is about to kick off on the #PS5 and #XboxSeriesX|S for #Invincible VS, for those who want to give it all a go. We still have to wait until April 30th for Quarter Up and Skybound to give us all the full game, so the wait will not be too long if you miss out. I say that, as the open beta for Invincible VS is only running from April 9th to the 11th. So, there is only a short window for us all to have a chance to see how the 3v3 fighter is going to shape up. Especially as we are getting a lot of god-level characters in the fight that should be able to take everyone’s heads off right from the start. Something that we will get to see a little bit of in this open beta.

 

Silent Hill: Townfall Takes Us Home With Some New Compositions

If there is one IP that is well-known for its score and haunting music, it is this one, and that means that #SilentHillTownfall has a lot to live up to. I cannot think of many gamers out there who would not know the game based on one or two of the songs played in it. That is why, I am sure, that Screen Burn and Konami reached out to Pilotpriest to help compose the music for the game and take us all back into the world of Silent Hill. Even if this one does seem to take place away from the original town we all wandered in. Something that is further highlighted as we have the new song called “Home” to hear, and a look at the areas in St. Amelia that we are going to need to navigate the fog to get through.

The breach continues in the world of #SCPFragmentedMinds, as we have the next chapter out there on the #PC as you are reading all of these fun words here. So, get ready to head back into Site 113 if you put the game down, and see just how HST Game Studios is going to keep evolving the title. Also, to see if this is going to be how the game is going to be served up when the final launch of SCP: Fragmented Minds lands out there in full form. I would like to think not, but these are weird times in the world and in the video game. It is time to get back on topic and have a look at just how the world is expanding and what we can expect as the Early Access keeps raging on for this one. #SCPFoundation

 

This Week In Video Games 3/30/26 — 4/3/26

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of #videogames on the site this week

So many fun announcements and reveals this week for all of the video games have hit us hard, and we need to have a weekend to enjoy it all. Nothing too harsh happened as that sounds, but we had so many more things on both ends of the spectrum hit us. Like the final character for #InvincibleVS flying in, a new version of #Darksiders is on the way, and the launches of #SouthOfMidnight and #TheOccultist are launching out there. Along with many other video games and films getting some highlights in the mix. A solid week and one that we can easily place our hat upon and take a nice break until the next one.
