Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden Teaches More For Love, Death, And Sacrifice

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

The Banishers are running about to show us the deeper love story that we are going to get within Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

By this point, we should all know that there is a deep love story going on within Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden that we need to prepare for before February 13th. This has been a fact that DON’T NOD and Focus Entertainment have been pushing since day one of the announcement. Now that we are a few weeks out from the launch of the game, I think we are getting one more deep dive into how far this love is going for our Banishers and what might be kicking off the basic conflict in the story of the game. If what we can see in the latest trailer we have for the game is on par with what we are going to get on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

This new video for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden, while also giving a few looks at gameplay and enemies, dives deeper into how Antea made it into the form she is in when we are playing the game. That being a ghost that Red should have banished in the first place. Here, though, we get to see that it might have been a misstep on Red’s side that brought on the death of Antea from a different entity our Banishers were trying to take care of. Something that looks like it leads Red to stop Antea from making the full crossover after death and forces her to become something she fought so hard against. Leading to more conflict in the game as we dig into the options to save or banish spirits for our oath or our benefit. Something even deeper than we thought before.

What would you do when death tears apart your love?

New Eden, 1695: Antea and Red are lovers and Banishers, trained spirit-hunters, protecting people from lingering specters. But when tragedy strikes and Antea herself becomes a ghost, the catastrophic turn of events leaves Red torn between upholding their oath to protect the living from malevolent spirits and save Antea from her condition.

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden will be released on February 13, 2024, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

All of these thoughts come from one little scene in the trailer where we see our Banishers fail and then see Red leap through the veil to save Antea. I am fairly certain this is Red stopping the full transition of Antea and then forcing her to stay around on the mortal plain. Granted, I could see that as leading to some resentment and different arguments based on how Antea upholds the Banishers oath. That could lead to a very different story than we have been shown so far along with a different ending that might make this action-horror title end with a lot of heartbreak and tears. Potentially. We will know in just about a month’s time.

Do you think that it is Red that is causing the issue we are faced with in Banishers or will it be something else that causes Antea to stay? Will the story take a vastly different tone based on the redemption choices we make or will it always lead to the same ending with a little dialog changed about? What do you suspect will be the end “boss” of the game and could it be Antea after coming to terms with how Red has acted? Take to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else we have to share out there. We will keep the news flowing out for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden as best as we can, so please keep a close eye on the site for all of that and much, much more.
