Become A Political Reporter In The Recently Announced Title, The Occupation

The Occupation

A new title, The Occupation, has been announced and The Occupation places us in the role of a whistleblowing journalist in 80’s England

If you’re like any other gamer out there then you’ve had dreams of being a political journalist in the 80’s telling the story of the most recent terrorist attack that has happened. No? Well if that seems like something you want then you need to have a look The Occupation as it has just been announced and gives us just that. This would also be the next title that White Paper Games is working on for us. Even if the basic premise doesn’t seem to sound like your style, give The Occupation a moment as it is still in the early stage of development and looks to mix up the branching narrative we are all used to in so many other titles out.

So far, The Occupation only has the following trailer and a little bit of description. What sounds the most interesting here is the fact that all of the game’s choices and story are to take place in real-time. That can be taken many ways of course, but the way I am reading it all is that the game’s event will always be flowing and if you opt to take too long on something then you miss out. All of which to ultimately affect the overall narrative of the story. Then again, maybe it is just me. None the less, it all sounds like something that is truly fixed in the current state of affairs pretty well.

Have a look at The Occupation as we have it now. Currently there are no platforms listed for the game, nor is there even a release window. Not too surprising at this moment, but it is something to keep an eye out for in the near future. The trailer does make the game look like it is much further along than just being announced.
