During a horror fest, Beneath is getting some fun new content and allowing us all to play a bit more of Beneath
It seems like we have all kinds of days to celebrate out there in the world and with a new one here, we have something for Beneath to take in. It looks like there is a fun Lovecraftian Days Fest happening on Steam and the title that Camel 101 is working on has been selected to be one of the highlights. That title, obviously, being Beneath. Along with the highlight, we are getting a fun new trailer to highlight some of the otherworldly horrors we will face in the game as well as a chance to actually play the current build of it all on the PC on May 15th. Those looking for the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will only get the fun visuals and watch-alongs that come about from it, sadly.
Since we all have to wait a bit longer for any gameplay with the playtest for Beneath still a month away, we can take in the latest look at the game and see what will be hunting us as we head down into the underwater facility. As you most likely have figured out from the Lovecraft nature of things, they are a bunch of eldritch horrors for starters, but it does look as if we will get some other body horror mixed into it with some of the lower-level creatures we will need to face off with. Not to mention the massive tentacles attacking us that are also a staple in the genre of horror that Beneath is falling right into. All in all, nothing too extravagant but still shows how the game is going to stand on its own from other titles in the mythology. You can witness all of that just a little bit further down to see just what will be haunting your dreams in the coming month.
Beneath — Lovecraftian Days
Camel 101 is excited to share that Beneath has been chosen to feature its chilling content at the Lovecraftian Days Fest on Steam, running from 14th to 21st April!
To mark this event, they unveiled a spine-tingling new trailer showcasing the eldritch horrors that await in this gripping survival horror experience.
And that’s not all! They’re inviting us to join our exclusive monthly playtest, kicking off on 15th May. This is our chance to get early access to Beneath, dive into the horror, and help shape the future of this indie masterpiece.
Do you think we need many more “fests” like this so we can highlight games like Beneath or does it seem like we could just have these things outside of the theme? How deep into the body horror side of things will this one go or will it just be humanoid monsters running about and not any of our old allies here?
