Capes

Meet part of the Capes team with the announcement of when we could all be playing as our heroes in Capes

It has been a bit of time since we heard about the game Capes and it seems like it is all for a good reason. That reason being that Spitfire Interactive has been able to get a whole lot of work in and now we will be able to play the full game soon. How soon? Well, as it stands, Capes is now set for a May release of this year on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. That is how soon. All of this means it is time to start learning more about the various heroes and abilities we will have in the game. Thus leading us into the next fun announcement and showcase for the game. A look at a new hero…

It is time to meet part of the hero team we will get to explore the world of Capes and this one is for Rebound. A character that has shadow powers but looks like they most use them in a teleportation capacity. Rebound is able to move around on the maps in some solid stealth but also move allies around to help control the battlefield a bit more. That is in addition to being able to team up with various other heroes in the Capes universe to combine powers and abilities to a great extent. Have a look at Rebound in action and then get the excitement flowing for the rest of the team and gameplay to come down the line for this one.

Capes — Meet The Team: Rebound

Given how long we have had superhero stories and comics going, it does feel like Capes is going to have a hard challenge to rethink how some things work or for things that we have yet to see. This is why I will give some benefit of the doubt to characters like Rebound, as this does feel a lot like a Nightcrawler situation. Not a terrible thing but it is instantly where my mind goes. That said, Rebound does look like they will be a fun character to us in Capes and can lead to some fun mishaps when an enemy has set up a move only for the hero to no longer be there. Then we get to mix in the other ways that Rebound can be used with the other heroes. While the examples here are a little soft, I can see some of the others leading to some amazing takedowns or attacks for us to watch many times over.

Are you excited to see that Capes will be here in just a few months and did it feel like it fell off the map for a bit? Do you think we will get a hero in the mix that does not feel like something we have seen many times before? Are they saving some of the over-the-top combinations for the live gameplay or do you fear what we see here will be the best of it all? Take to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we can muster up out there for the game. We can see the hard push for Capes coming now, so we will try to get all of those updates out to you here. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the many others we have coming down the line.
