Chernobylite Is Officially Coming To The Next-Gen Systems

Chernobylite

A new update for Chernobylite is on the way that will bring us new DLC and the next-gen version for Chernobylite

Those holding out for Chernobylite to finally come to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S natively can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a good bit of time, but it looks like The Farm 51 is gearing up to make that actually happen here. Coming on April 21st, those looking to have that next-gen experience with Chernobylite will be able to have it by free upgrade or an official purchase. Depending on your current status of game ownership of it all. It is good just to know that you will only have to buy it once and have it depending on how you aimed to play it all.

Interestingly enough, this is not the only free upgrade that Chernobylite players can expect. Those playing the game on the PC will also be seeing an Enhanced Edition for the game out there that will also give it the 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps they might be looking for. Although, I have a feeling it will be more on the ray-tracing side of things that they want to add into Chernobylite more than anything. This one is also a nice free update for the current owners so all platforms can have a close to similar experience out there. Usually, the PC gets left out of these little things as it is assumed that it is already running the best on that platform.

On top of all of that, Chernobylite will be getting more content added in with the Blue Flames DLC all on the same day. The free version of it will offer fans some new weapons to head out with, while the paid will take us deeper into the story between Tatyana and Igor. An interesting way to offer up DLC to fans, but I am sure that those still playing Chernobylite will take all of the extra lore and story to keep them going as they try to keep all of their team alive. I guess we will see when it all drops on us this coming April.

Chernobylite — Console Release

Video game publisher All In! Games and development studio The Farm 51, are pleased to announce that the highly anticipated next-gen console version of Chernobylite will be released on April 21. Additionally, the date marks the release of the PC Enhanced Edition, the Blue Flames DLC, and a physical edition of Chernobylite for PS5 published by Perp Games. The game won Indie DB’s ‘Indie of the Year’ Player’s Choice Award, was featured in Steam’s ‘Best of 2021’ list, and has no intention of slowing down in 2022. Based on Chernobylite’s content roadmap, players can expect continuous game enhancements and more content updates throughout the year.

The upgrade to the next-gen version of Chernobylite and the PC Enhanced Edition will be available for owners of the game through a free update. Both updates will introduce ray tracing and will greatly improve the game’s already hyper-realistic visuals. The next-gen versions specifically will also add two new graphic profiles: 4K (Dynamic) 30 FPS and 1080p (Ultra Details) 60 FPS and the PS5 update will additionally add features for DualSense Controllers such as advanced vibrations and adaptive triggers as well as compatibility with PlayStation’s Activity Card feature.

To make the day even more eventful, Blue Flames, the first of four scheduled content drops for 2022, will be released for all platforms. Blue Flames will offer a free content update, ‘Memories of You’; a new weapon, the Silent Assassin crossbow; and a paid content pack. With ‘Memories of You’, players will learn more about Tatyana and Igor’s fateful backstory through new events and collectibles.

Will you be going through Chernobylite again with all of these upgrades or will it be your first time into the world? Do you like to see that the PC version is getting these upgrades too or should that have been out from launch? Do you like the story in the game and want to have more or will you be going only for the new weapons out there? Tell us all of those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to share for Chernobylite, we will add it to the site for you. Please keep checking back in for all of those updates and much, much more.
