Control Resonant Gives A Little Story & Gameplay For The Paranatural Manhattan

Control Resonant

New video showcases for Control Resonant are out there to fill us all in on how Control Resonant will play when it releases

If you had any worry that Control Resonant was not going to go hard on the announcements and showcases, well, you can sit back and enjoy a whole lot more to come out for the game. It looks as if Remedy is going to be pushing this one harder than before, and give us all so much to see before September 24th. That is when Control Resonant will be bringing the weirdness to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC out there, so they have some time. Even if it feels like we are getting blasted so much with the story, gameplay, and other visuals that we are going to need to be ready for as we head into the twisted Manhattan that the team has cooked up for us. That all said, let us have a look and see what new information we can glean from everything they are ready to give us.

If you have been falling behind for Control Resonant, the story takes us further into the universe after the fall of The Oldest House. A fall that has allowed other entities to escape out there while Jesse Faden is MIA. It is a good thing that they were building up the importance of Dylan in the mix of things, as he will be sent out into the streets to bring down all of the Hiss, Mold, and Resonants that are out there causing all manner of pain. Dylan will not be alone in all of that, with some side character from the Federal Bureau of Control trying to help, but it will be all about the new melee weapon that will be able to crush all of these things, which will be the bigger help. Other than that, it sounds like the usual lone savior story, but given the pedigree of the studio, I am sure there will be a lot more hidden once we get into the weeds of it all. Have a look at all of the latest videos we have for you, and see if the wait and game will live up to the hype for you.

Control Resonant — Story

Remedy Entertainment announced that Control Resonant, the highly anticipated sequel to Remedy’s critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning Control will launch worldwide on September 24, 2026. Pre-orders for both digital and physical editions are now open for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Epic Games Store. The PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe version will also include 48 hours of early access.

The trailer explores Dylan Faden’s (played by Sean Durrie) dramatic journey as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) into the heart of a supernatural crisis. A new, otherworldly form of resonance, alongside the Hiss and the Mold, is warping the city as a mysterious cosmic force reshapes reality itself. For this mission, Dylan is joined by a new FBC ally, Zoe de Vera, alongside returning fan favorites Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original Control. With his sister, Federal Bureau of Control Director Jesse Faden, missing, Dylan must step into a role he was never prepared for – humanity’s last line of defense.

As part of Remedy’s efforts to bring Control Resonant worldwide, the game will be the most localized Remedy game to date. Control Resonant will feature full audio, interface, and subtitles in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (Spain). Additional interface and subtitle support will be available in Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Control Resonant — Paranatural Manhattan

Control Resonant features an open-ended, imaginative sandbox that only the talented and creative developers at Remedy Entertainment could devise. The paranaturally twisted Manhattan consists of several zones that are visually diverse, each teeming with unique, dedicated enemy factions. This is the largest and richest environment Remedy has ever constructed for a game.

As Dylan Faden, delving into each biome will offer players a distinct gameplay experience. Some of these are above ground, some deep below, and some exist in dimensions humans were not even aware of. The biomes contain engaging story missions, exciting side quests, such as hunting down rogue Altered Items, dynamic boss fights, and head-scratching puzzles to solve. All of this gives players a wealth of choices in what to pursue and how to progress through the game. Players will also get to experience new, previously unseen sections of the Oldest House, where the first Control took place.

Control Resonant — Take Control

Wield the Aberrant. Stop the Hiss. Rediscover your humanity. Take control.

After years of imprisonment at the hands of the Federal Bureau of Control, Dylan Faden is free on the streets of Manhattan. But the city is overrun by otherworldly forces, and at the peak of a paranatural crisis, and Dylan needs to contain and comprehend the dangers he is now facing. His sister, Bureau Director Jesse Faden, is missing. He has to find her and reckon with the world around him.

Do you like that this is the story we are getting after the amazing one in Control, and will it make more sense once we are actually playing it all out? How helpful will the other members of the team be in this game, and will it be more of Dylan doing the heavy work, with them guiding the story along? Do you like the way that Manhattan is looking in the mix of all of this, and will we ever get to see how this could have affected the rest of the world in some way? Let us hear it all out in the comment section down the page here. For more on Control Resonant, as we get closer to the full release, please check back with the website or follow all of our social channels out there.
