Returnal
Returnal is on the verge of launching and we have one more pull to suck us into the story Returnal will be offering up
This is the week that the PS5 will finally see the full version of Returnal and we can see just how this studio is advancing their concepts and designs along the way. It has been something I know I have been excited for when I saw the first trailer Housemarque put out there to let us know it was happening. Then we had all of the darker and time-bending trailers for Returnal to make us ask other questions as to what we will be going through in this game. Given that it is shaping to be a live-die-repeat style of it all, it makes sense and looks like they could have another hit on their hands. For those still not sold based on all of that, though, we have one last trailer to take in and see where they might be going with the tide of time we will experience.
This is more of a launch trailer for Returnal more than anything with May 30th just days away, but it does dive a little further into the story and gameplay we can expect in the game too. There is a lot more mention of time and the flow of it all here, so maybe that will be a bit more of a highlight in the mix of it all. It is hard to say at this point. There is a whole lot more action and level traversal we get to see here that looks like it will be some of the better aspects of Returnal to enjoy if the story is not selling you on the game as of yet. Have a look and be the judge for yourself though. You might be a little more surprised than you expected with it all.
Returnal — The Tide
“Time is like a tide… no matter how hard we fight, we can never stop it.”
Take on the hostiles of Atropos as Selene and uncover hidden secrets while trapped in a chaotic time loop.
Break the cycle in Returnal, launching April 30 on PS5.
Have you been ready for Returnal since it was first announced or did you need all of the little prods along the way to sell you better? Do you think there will be some solid time manipulation in the mix of it all or will it be a story device to explain away the gameplay mechanics? Do you see this being as another major hit for the studio or will it be something to show what they are good at and focus more into with the next project? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is more for Returnal, we will have it all here for you. Be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much more as we head further into the future.
