DmC: Definitive Edition Shows How Turbo Mode Isn’t Cheating

DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition

We have a new comparison video for DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition’s turbo mode which speeds up the whole game by 20% for those who want that option

DmC: Definitive Edition has a turbo mode which is one of the updates for the edition and it is a gameplay modifier that can be turned on if one so chooses. Back in my day, that makes me sound old, turbo mode meant that the controller had an option to turn on so one could just hold down a button and the controller would rapid fire off the command to the system. For DmC: Definitive Edition it ramps up the overall speed of the game by 20% because this is something that apparently was missing in the original version of the game. Wouldn’t you know it too; we have a new video showing off this new mode while comparing the basic slower version of DmC side-by-side on the PS4.

If you’ve played the original version of DmC from Ninja Theory hopefully you are in the same boat as me and asking “Why do we need a turbo mode?” here. Is this to fight all of those youngsters and their A.D.D. when it comes to games? You know so Capcom can make sure that the entirety of DmC: Definitive Edition in ingested by the audiences at a 20% faster rate and they can ensure their profits to come back? I don’t know and your guess is as good as mine. I actually thought the pacing of DmC was a bit on the speedy side before so I can’t imagine jumping into combos with even more speed and then getting lost in the flurry of images on the screen.

Then again, maybe I am dating myself and there is a real reason to have this new gameplay add-on for DmC: Definitive Edition. Have a look at the comparison video below and tell me if you think it is a good thing, a bad thing, or not a thing at all. I hear there is this new invention called comments down below that allows for some form of discussion on this inter-webs thing…
