Dread Neighbor Will Be Knocking On Our Doors Very Soon

Dread Neighbor

The release date for Dread Neighbor is on the way, along with some new DLC for the title leading into Dread Neighbor

The horrors are about to be unleashed in the neighborhood, with the release date set for Dread Neighbor. A nice little sequel that Ghostcase has been working on with Erabit for the PC, to lead us into the next stage from Dread Flats. At least for those who have been enjoying this psychological horror title on the PC. No matter the case of things, Dread Neighbor has a release date, and it is now set for May 7th. That is not all, though, as there’s a little more of a surprise coming for all of those fans of this horror IP. Something that might actually get you back into playing the previous title on top of the newer one here as well.

In addition to Dread Neighbor launching when it is, there will be some new DLC out there on April 30th. Obviously, this is not for the new game, but to help bridge the gap between this one and Dread Flats a bit more. It also looks like it will just be part of the game for those who have been playing along up to now, so it will be something to help build the hype into Dread Neighbor if all goes well. Not that the horror title needs much hype to get us all there, as you will be able to see in the following video, we have to go along with this announcement. If only it would be hitting the console along the way, but we can just sit back and be hopeful for all of that as of right now. Have a look and mark the date down if you need to have this horror in your life out there.

Dread Neighbor — Release Date

Dread Neighbor, the first-person psychological horror game and sequel to Dread Flats, takes thriller fans on a heart-pounding experience via Steam starting Thursday, May 7, 2026. Indie studio ghostcase will release a brand new DLC for Dread Flats two weeks earlier on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Combat the constant feeling of unease evoked by a progressive loop system where subtle environmental shifts slowly erode any sense of safety and reality. Navigate high-pressure encounters in familiar environments brimming with darkness, tension, and suspense.

Endure the terrifying duality of feeling alone and constantly watched by an unseen observer. Get well acquainted with the normal routine of a young woman living by herself in the city – feeding the cat, commuting to work, going to bed, repeat. But normality is a distant hope in these seedy apartments.

Expanding upon the popular demo, the full release will feature multi-perspective storytelling, new indoor and outdoor locations, as well as intense chase sequences. Experience an all-too-familiar tale from the perspective of multiple victims. Pierce through the dreadful noise to piece together the full story and confront the hard truths lying beneath the horror.

Dread Neighbor continues the developer’s signature focus on psychological pressure and immersive storytelling. It introduces new elements to this formula, such as enhanced visuals and a dynamic narrative structure built to deliver a more grounded and oppressive experience, transforming fear from a sudden shock into an inescapable state.

Dread Neighbor will launch on Windows PC via Steam on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
