A crossover event for Dying Light is about to kick off that will bring some of Left 4 Dead 2 in to the Dying Light universe for all
There have been a few crossover events that have happened in gaming as of late and now we have word of one more coming to Dying Light for those that are still playing and looking for another blast from the past. In fact, something that is going way back as it looks like Techland is teaming up with Valve to do a crossover that will bring in some fun from Left 4 Dead 2. They are both zombie games so it makes a bit of sense. It just seems like it is a bit out there given that Dying Light is older at this point, with a sequel close on the way, and then another title from quite a way back that I am sure many have not been playing for a while. At least, outside of the specific seasons and all.
In any instance, the crossover is about to happen for Dying Light and Left 4 Dead 2 that will kick off as you are reading this. All you will need to do is log into Dying Light and take on some of the challenges in the game to unlock the special Gold Blueprints that will give you access to the iconic weapons of an Electric Guitar, Frying Pan, and Golf Club. I would not say those are iconic for Left 4 Dead 2, but that is what we are getting for the next few days to unlock. If you miss out on them for some reason, they will be available via free DLC after the event. You just do not get the fun of unlocking them and then seeing how they fare live at the time. It is a bit weird, but something PC, PS4, and Xbox One gamers can hop into over the weekend here.
Dying Light Meets Left 4 Dead 2 In An Exciting Crossover Event!
In this 4-day event commencing October 24, 2019, Zombie slayers will experience an increased number of Virals, waves of attacking hordes, an intensifying fight for survival, along with an increased amount of guns and ammo at your disposal.
Those who complete the challenges will be rewarded with three event-exclusive Gold blueprints that will let them craft the following iconic Left 4 Dead 2 weapons (Electric Guitar, Frying Pan, and Golf Club) to use in Dying Light.
The four-day event starts on October 24th, and will be available for both PC and console players. After the event concludes the standard blueprints for the Left 4 Dead 2 weapons will be available as a free DLC.
Did you expect this to be the crossover event we would be seeing or does it make sense for more to come for Dying Light right now? Did you think we would be seeing more on the side of characters and zombies or does it make sense that it would only be weapons? Could this all be building to something bigger for either title or will it just be a bit of Halloween fun for the next few days? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If there is more to share for Dying Light, which we did not think there would be, we will share it here for you. Be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and more.
