Endzone: A World Apart Gameplay Shows How The Environments Will Be Harsh For The Consoles

Endzone: A World Apart

The Endzone will be expanding a bit more and we can see how Endzone: A World Apart will flow on the consoles

On May 19th, those looking to play Endzone: A World Apart on the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S will finally get a chance to see how it will function. Gentlymad Studios has altered things to make it work better there and add in all of the extras that the PC gamers have had for a while now. For those that cannot fully wait until then, you can have a look at how the gameplay for these versions of Endzone: A World Apart could function to hold you over. As long as you are okay with watching someone else handle the game and use the UI and controls that have been shifted from keyboard and mouse to basic controller. Not that it is a hard thing to do from the past, but it is nice to get a small peek at all of that for now.

As I alluded to, the gameplay for the console version of Endzone: A World Apart looks about how every other title in the genre gets moved over. We will get the usual stick motions to select and move about. It also looks like we will have some macro-style settings in there too so we can swap between options and quick structures, but that is a little foggy here. No matter what, Endzone looks like it will be offering fans and non-fans a similar experience. Console gamers should also be used to the style of controls from what we have had in other titles, so it should be a simple transition over. Should be…and we will know more in a few weeks from now.

Endzone: A World Apart — Consoles Gameplay

Console players rejoice! Today, celebrated indie publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Gentlymad Studios have released a brand new trailer to coincide with the 19th May arrival of survival city-builder Endzone: A World Apart: Survivor Edition on current-gen consoles. Set for launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Endzone: A World Apart: Survivor Edition includes the base game and the first DLC chapter titled “Prosperity.”

Key Features of Endzone’s Console Release Include:

  • Full UI Overhaul: Specially geared to controllers – provides for a comfortable and up-to-date gameplay experience
  • A Bustling Community: The settlement is rarely quiet or dull; fulfill over 90 side missions, all of which are rich in variety and cater to the various needs of your community’s inhabitants
  • Build, Expand, Survive: With more than 90 different buildings to construct and maintain, including power stations, shelters, water treatment plants, and, unfortunately, cemeteries, colony architects have a vast selection of structures from which to create a flourishing community
  • Can’t We Order In?: To get fresh supplies and learn new information, scouting parties must engage in Expeditions — which involve leaving the safety of the colony and venturing out into the dangerous wasteland to scavenge valuable resources
  • Dynamic Radiation Simulator: Keep those iodine pills handy, as Endzone features realistic radiation and humidity values that force players to take into account important details about the soil in which they grow their crops

Endzone: A World Apart: Survivor Edition launches digitally on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19th May 2022
