Far Cry 5
Sadly, it looks like Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 have been pushed out a month so we get the best version of Far Cry 5 that is possible
The wait for Far Cry 5 continues as it has now been delayed. Sad news indeed, but thankfully it has only been delayed for a month or so that way Ubisoft can try to bring us some additional improvements to the game. What those improvements are is anyone’s guess, but that is what we have here and why the game has been delayed. Let us just hope that it is not to add some things to Far Cry 5 that no one ever wanted but they think we do. If not that, then the team removing something from the game that would have caused all kinds of flack once it hit our homes. Whatever the case may be, we will not be seeing the game on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC until March 27th of 2018.
In addition to Far Cry 5 being hit with a delay, it looks like The Crew 2 has also been hit with a delay. A much longer one as it is now looking like we will not see that game until sometime in the first half of the Fiscal Year of 2018. That could be as late as April or it could be a whole extra year of waiting as that was about the same thing that happened to South Park and it was delayed almost a whole year. I guess we will get those updates when they are good and ready. At least we have an actual date for Far Cry 5 now. Even if that could change again.
An Update On Far Cry 5 And The Crew 2
Far Cry 5 will now launch on March 27 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC while The Crew 2 will now launch in the first half of our next fiscal year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC.
For Far Cry 5, the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision. We’re excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County, Montana against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult. Tune in to the Ubiblog tomorrow, December 8th at 10pm PST to get the newest look at Far Cry 5.
Meanwhile, The Crew 2 development team at Ivory Tower will use the next several months to perform additional playtests, gather player feedback, and continue working towards delivering an ambitious open-world racing experience that meets the team’s and our players’ expectations.
What do you suspect is the real reason for the delay of Far Cry 5? Do you think it is to add some amazing new feature that we have yet to hear of or could it be something greatly different? When do you think that The Crew 2 will finally come out and will the extra time place the game firmly on your radar? Let us all know what is going on in that head and discuss down in the comments. If there are further updates for Far Cry 5, we will have them here. Just keep close to the site so you can catch a glimpse of all of them as they drop.
